Guys... I think it's happening: Stephano is joining EG. Also I think this basically ends all doubts: http://www.evilgeniuses.net/stephano

Well seeing as that works with:

And i'm sure others, that doesn't end anything.

If you look at Nerchio vs MVP games at IEM, lot of those end up in crazy situation, where descision making is crucial to win, exactly the type of game stephano is able to win.
I was sad that nerchio coudnt do it.

I'm not saying that stephano would have win those game, but i would love to see the same crazy game with stephano as the zerg and MVP as terran.

Would be nice to make a video of Stephano's most epic moments. I could do that and was thinking of:

- Stephano vs Kiwikaki (QF IPL3 I think)
- His win at IPL3
- His win at ESWC (d. Mana in final and MKP in semis)
- His win against DRG at Blizzard Cup ?
- His game vs Ryung (MLG Summer arena)
- Some of his best games vs Polt (Dreamhack winter final, Lone Star Clash, MLGs...)
- His win at NASL 3

For fun I could add his game vs Bratok @ Assembly summer 2011 (dat 3rd game to avoid Sen if I remember correctly :p)

I'm sure I'm still missing great games/moments. Do you have something else in mind ?

His games at Lone Star Clash vs Polt was for me some of the most beautiful Zerg play I ever seen from Stephano. If I had to chose which ZvT was the best ever to watch as a viewer. Ill say Stephano vs Polt Lone Star Clash

But for epic moments ill say last MLG where he went 5-0 in his group and barely got knocked down by MKP in a fantastic and close serie.

Also Redbull battleground where he dominated Parting and Squirtle and had a nail-biting ZvP vs MC

Vods from Lone Star clash:

Game 1 http://de.twitch.tv/lonestarclash/b/314773297
Game 2 http://de.twitch.tv/lonestarclash/b/314773599
Game 3 http://de.twitch.tv/lonestarclash/b/314773791

Game 3 is totally insane. I felt like I was watching a boxing match instead of a sc2 match. Both players just punching each other none stop. Constant action and amazing micro from both players. Lings on mauraders and Roaches on helions. And Polt do the same thing. And with a typical Stephano troll the game ended with the US national anthem. hehe

It was really an incredible match.

I cant seem to find the final so if anyone got a link ill be very happy

Stephano & Jaedong <-- The Pain Train. Polt and Innovation to EG plz

There was a game at SXSW against White-Ra on Shakuras Plateau. White-Ra went air and rushed to void-rays and carriers. Stephano killed about 11 Void-Rays and several Carriers in about 3 seconds during one engagement by neural parasiting some Archons and attacking with fungals and Corruptors. He also killed 5 about Motherships during that game.

don't want to rant on idra but i recently watched his stream sometimes when stephano doesn't stream and idra would just have quit when he saw the mass rines + scv train ^^
if i would a team mate or even his coach (i know they don't really have one) i would try to convince him that he just hangs on in this games a little longer to try to make smth happen. i have seen him so many times just quit when he saw a cheese incoming caughting him with 3 hatch. one comment in the chat was "unfortunately this would be a loss in a tournament game" and this sums it up right. He should try at least.

Stephano ALWAYS at least tries to hold also when he streams his ladder games and sometimes he can pull smth like that. i think it's very wise to at least try - you can learn even from the hardest cheese which normally should kill you. at least it is a training for micro and stephano's micro is just so good that he even can make smth like this happen.

Idra knows the game so well, he knows when he'll lose to an all-in and when he can try and hold it. He's an emotional player and trying and failing to hold an all in is more demoralising and frustrating than just getting out of there ASAP, and playing a proper game.

Besides, people only cheese him because they know they can't win in a macro game. NA ladder, ladies and gentlemen.

He may say that he'd rather lose some game he could have won without ragequitting (10%) but not being demoralized by losing a nearly unwinnable game (90%)
The flaw in here is that people mostly remember crazy/epic moments. When you are able to win a game you should have lost (because of the bo/luck ...), even if this does not happen often, what you gain in praise/fan/memory is worth it.
In wc3, I liked Moon the most not because he was really successful, but because he was able to turn games around...

IdrA has some pretty sick hold himself.

Just look at this:

That was after Select won the first game because Xelnaga caverns was still in the map pool...

His hold against Bomber on meta was also pretty sweet in mlg.

Idra does know the game well, but Idra's poor judgment about what fights he'll win or lose is probably his biggest failing, as has been recognized by nearly everyone -- I believe Idra included. Idra's bad judgment calls about when to leave (albeit given the privileged positions we have as observers) are pretty legendary (e.g., games against Huk and MMA spring immediately to mind). I didn't think that even Idra's fans denied this but I could be wrong.
