This thread is becoming almost as crappy as Scarlett's one. What Azarkon said before the tournament was accurate. What he is saying now still is.
HerO and MC have the best PvZ in the world and while Stephano isn't too shabby himself, he lost quite badly to them in the past months as well as losing to other not known for their PvZ. Sure, Stephano was close to win against MC in RBB but close is nearly good enough. He practiced his PvZ with Kleenex for the WCS and it showed.
Still Stephano chances to be a finalist looked bleak when the bracket was revealed.
PS : Writing history is easy now. A lot of the people bashing on Azarkon now were nowhere to be seen in the thread before the tournament. Some of you look like banwagoners to me.

He won't. So sad, his first game should have been against Vortix. I wish I could use this game to evaluate his ZvZ

He forfeited IEM because at the time of the final tournament he will be in Korea. He has been replaced by MoMaN.

That seems a bit gratuitous and unjustified.

WTF? What he said (which was voluminous) wasn't at all accurate and there are 20 pages of commentary about it. Also, Stephano prior to this tournament was 4 and 3 against MC in his last seven matches and was 2-2 in official matches against Hero (and recently 1 and 2 in very close games in MCSL). This has been repeated ad nauseum. Saying he lost "badly" to them in recent months is false. His only "bad" losses to Hero happened a long time ago in practice when Stephano was in Korea. How do you not know this and why would you echo already discredited viewpoints? Has Azarkon taken over your account?

You can still kill the hatch first with 10p even with this trick. If the defender in this situation won its because the person who 10p fucked up.

and posts like these are exactly the reason why fan club (!) threads are becoming crappier, like you say.
hell, its about time i'm signing up here. i think i still have a >1 year old replay of me playing random 4v4 with stephano on my team. i was like "dude i just played a 4v4 with stephano" on my friendslist, and they said "who the f*** is stephano?" but now they know who he is, i'm pretty sure :D

Fan clubs do not just cheer after the fact.
Otolia, like myself, was worried about Stephano before NASL for obvious causes. Everybody was. There wasn't a single regular prior to NASL who thought - Stephano is gonna crush HerO and MC, HELL YEAH! Everybody thought that HerO and MC were favored against Stephano because he had just lost to MaNa and SaSe, who had worse PvZ by a mile.
They all came out of the woodworks after NASL ended to bash me for poor predictions and to declare how they were confident all along. Great job talking in hindsight - that's the easy thing to do.

Being a fan doesn't mean you should not criticize the player when he does poorly. When a football team does badly, you can bet the fans of the team will be first to note it.

Nope, not everybody. Some are confident in his performance and have always been.
Has anyone seen the earnings-charts for SC2 overall? He's like the only one in the top10 not from Korea.

Had Toodming targeted the hatch in the main, Comm had the ability to threaten the lings with stacked drones. Had he targeted the one in the nat, Comm is able to wait until it was just about done and canceled it, using the additional minerals for drones. In both scenarios he comes out ahead / even.
Comm is a ZvZ specialist. I remember him from Beta when he beat a lot of top Korean Zergs at the time due to ZvZ. He knows a lot of tricks in this match up and that's one of them that every Zerg needs to have under his sleeve. I see pro level Zergs losing 3-4 drones to 10 pools because they just run their drones around / surround with them. Stacked drone micro is a better response because of the huge DPS boost, provided you know how to do it.
