Game 1:

Well lol.... 6 gate all in... still Steph's got 2 games to win. i think with Hydra he would have held that. the zerg in me still died a bit. can't blame elfi for all in-ing though. : (

Game 2: Ugh I'm nervous

Stephano double Fe vs elfi FE into double stargate. stephano still hasn't scouted the gas vs double stargate. :o

After holding off double stargate, efli goes into 8 gate warp prism, ie all in n°2. steph should hold, hydra should do it. ^^"""

Steph takes a 4th base, makes Hydra/Roach and then holds off subsequent all in.

Game 3:
As before, Steph double FE's vs Elfi's FE. Stephano manages to get some lings in and harass a little. 4 gas taken and warp prism sentry drop is scouted by steph.

Steph starts harassing front of elfi's base with roach. picks off buildings and immortals.

Steph takes a 4th, denies elfi's third with roach/ling.

Engagement, roach/ling vs stalker/stentry/immortal. steph takes out a lot of units, loses fight. 4 bases though, remaxes on roaches. ^^

Steph takes out elfi's 3rd, loses his army though. still damages elfi's army. MORE RAOCHes

Denies elfi's 3rd with raoches.

Stephano continues to deny elfi's third, defends great vs drops, elfi gg's.

was really impressed by elfi, even game 2 and 3 were very close, he could have won game 2 by going to the natural probably with the voids and in game 3 he nearly got his nexus up and protoss with 5th and 6th gas gets stronger immediately, was like the first time for quite a while now that stephano looked touchable in a zvp by someone else than mc

I think one of the main differences between Idra and Stephano is that Idra was dominating right at the start of the Beta. At that point, he was already establishing himself as possibly the best Foreign player in SC2 along with Dimaga and White-Ra. Then Huk emerged etc. Stephano has only established himself as a top Foreigner since last Autumn (in 2011) in IPL3. Naniwa and Thorzain also broke through just before Stephano. You can see Stephano has improved massively since early 2011. I saw a game when Sen beat Stephano when Sen was playing as Terran. Now I would say Stephano is favourite to defeat every Foreign opponent and many Korean players. Idra has been at the top of the Foreign game since the beginning, but now Stephano is there too.

I would still say the Top Koreans are favourite against Stephano - like MC, Nestea and MVP. But Stephano has racked up wins against MKP, MMA, Alive, DRG, Bomber, Sage, Boxer, Hero and proven he can live and compete with these players. Stephano is still improving though, he has really built up his ZvP game in recent months. Now he needs to similarly refine his ZvT game. He has some tough games coming up in Tournaments against Puma, Polt, MMA and Jjakji so we can see what level he is against top Korean Terrans.

No matter his result against Puma, Stephano has now finished in the Top 4 of Assembly, and thus earned a minimum of $1000 for this tournament.

By the way in this interview http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xp1q6o_polt-apres-son-huitieme-de-finale_videogames Polt says that he wants to play against Stephano in the final of assembly because he is the best foreigner. I guess it won't shock anybody here :p.
