Almost lose to roach/bling-attack -> buy time with drops to get the macro back up -> draw it out to a macro game -> transition to air and Seeker missile an entire Zerg army to pieces. All without at any point slipping up in macro mechanics or unit control. One of the best TvZ-games I've ever seen. I really hope he'll be able to practice more on the KR ladder if/when he gets to the west coast, I'm really curious to see how he would fare against top KR Zergs.

After all, its much more nice to have a streaming chilling atmosphere, covered with a huge fan bank spamming your chat on twitch of how much you're handsome then actually the intensity of top level performances required to win anything... This come for a big Fan..

This come for a big Fan.. I don't think that's true. Polt won MLG on nothing but NA ladder practice. Stephano was able to win almost everything he touched in 2012 without setting foot in Korea. KR is better in the long run, but it's not a necessity for everyone.

But even if you're right, it still doesn't mean its the right way for Ben to handle his professional career - i remember that yesterday on his stream he was talking bout his game on redbull vs Sound, and of how he was so surprised and not ready for Sound's builds, it wasn't in a way that sound is some kind of a "cheesy" terran, but in a way of how the korean metagame is always so ahead on the foreigns metagame, which makes me wonder... why does it should be like that? Everyone loves to win game, and especially on their streams in front of thousands of fans, but in reality, abusing players like hellokitty with multi prone drops will not nearly get you as far as losing, learning and progressing on the koreans server or in a ruff custom games vs top level pros... a good example is Naniwa - "Naniwa doesn't like to stream, he prefers to win tournaments" that's a quote from Ben. I am a big Ben fan, and that's why i m saying this here, but this words are true for many players who just prefer dominating their own server, stream it.. and show no result in money time (Kas for example....)

I doubt Polt plays on anything but the NA server. He lives in Texas, the delay from there to Korea would be pretty bad. And sure, Stephano won a lot against foreigners, but that doesn't really matter. He still had a good record vs Koreans as well, (and managed to win his first few games in Proleague even though he had just arrived in Korea, even). His ZvP was really good even before Zerg was overpowered, and even though that was his best MU, his ZvT was never anything but excellent. But yes, you are probably right that EU server is better than the NA server. But that kind of goes to my point; KR server is nice practice, but it's not a necessity. It's not always like that, though. In 2011 and 2012, foreign Zergs were quick to try stuff like fast roach max and then ling/infestor while many Korean Zergs were still playing ling/bling/muta (Stephano helped in popularizing both strategies, AFAIK), and recently, foreign Terrans started using/abusing Hellbat-drops earlier than they became popular in Korea. And also, it's it up to Ben to decide for himself what the right way to handle his professional career is? I mean, yes, moving to Korea and practicing there would probably make him a better player in the long run, but it would also be a huge commitment. Speaking of Naniwa, it might be worth mentioning that I recall him saying that moving to Korea will actually make you a worse player initially, since you have to break your own play down and reinvent yourself to stop losing all the time. Not to mention moving to Korea would also mean different living conditions in an environment where it will be more difficult to communicate with people, and more isolation. It's a pretty big deal overall. There's a reason most foreigners who go to Korea end up not staying there for very long. I would imagine being happy with your situation and your living conditions is worth a lot for your mindset, so potentially jeopardizing that in order to get KR server practice is a pretty big risk. Either way, if he moves to the new EG place on the west coast, maybe he would play on the KR servert from there with less delay. That would be pretty sweet.
