Started with the following: -Added VOD from stream under Replays/VODs --> Ladder Games -Added 8 new members starting from page 324 (Entirety's last post updating the fan club) -Added stream link under Links, next to the WCS player profile link. Currently, the icon is too small, but I can't find a larger icon (if anyone knows of one please let me know) -Removed some older Recent Results. -Added Mvp's 2014 WCS EU Premier run under Recent Results If there is anything else I should do let me know Also it says I got TL+ when I didn't, guess that's the side effect of transferring posts. | ||

Already with your first edit I can see you're doing a fantastic job. The gargantuan size of the OP is all my fault, the OP used to be simple and now it's an utter nightmare to work with  If you're going to tackle the VODs list, I recommend you copy and paste small chunks into Notepad at a time, to prevent being overwhelmed and also because some browsers take a long time when you try to paste links into the OP.That said, please don't feel obligated to use the same formats I did. For example, the upcoming games - a simple line like "Mvp vs. Creator GSL Ro8 on May 5" with a link to the website would work just as well, without taking forever to update! One thing you could possibly work on is the Player Biography for 2013. For years 2011-2012, I tracked Mvp's career using premier tournament 1st or 2nd place finishes... now that Mvp isn't quite the dominating force he once was, you might have to come up with a new system for tracking his career. Other than that, think twice before tacking huge new projects. For example, I once had this crazy notion of tracking down all the live report threads I could find for each tournament... then I would have included those links into the VODs list using the LR Thread icon found on Liquipedia. I have mixed feelings about that... on one hand, it would have aligned with my goal of making the Mvp Fan Club the most comprehensive it could be. On the other hand, the information wouldn't be very useful - it would be more for the novelty value than actual utility, so it might have the opposite effect: the VODs list would be needlessly cluttered with links, making it clunky and hard to use. Not to mention the size of the OP would grow maybe 20-40%... that sort of stuff is better for an actual database than one forum post. So overall I'm not sure how I feel about that idea... in the end, though, I know I probably wouldn't have been able to follow through. I probably would have burned out before I even got through GSL I think as a fan club owner I failed to keep in mind the true purpose of a fan club: utility, and support. Instead of treating it as a dedication to Mvp, I treated it more like an Mvp encyclopedia, and the result is that the OP perhaps lacks some of the personal flair which brings fan clubs to life. That is a lesson I never truly learned, but don't be afraid to abandon professionalism and specific formats in favor of personality and genuine support. In that regard, perhaps it would be more effective to move stuff like the VODs list and the interview list to Liquipedia pages, while filling up the OP with highlights, fan tributes, and cheering for Mvp's upcoming games. Food for thought. | ||
