Is that true? Well I don't think it matters all that much since Mvp is seeded into the third round so he only has to prepare for one match anyway... which he will breeze through on his way to becoming WCS EU Season 3 champion!

Oh yeah that's good. I completely forgot about Ro16 seeding spot but yea that's how EU did it last season. Day 1 everyone in Round 1 players. Day 2 Round 2. Day 3 Round 3. Then if you lose they do the group stage 1 group per day.

I just don't know why MVP didn't fly into Germany until the night before. Especially when he probably had a place to stay with MC if he wanted one.

negativedge, he probably wanted to stay in Korea as long as possible. He did say his condition wasn't very good, but I think jetlag wasn't the issue. More like, Mvp just didn't look like himself against Protoss... he demolished Ret but I don't think he even tried to play the INnoVation style 3 OC bio play. Instead, he opted for interesting Widow Mine builds, Hellions, and SCV pulls. At the moment, it would seem like Protoss players hold an advantage over Terrans (I'm not going to say it's imbalance though... probably just metagame).

Well, I have added 5 more articles (page 27). Also, photos from GSTL Feb and GSL Season 2 2012 have been added.

Indeed. It seems that whenever Mvp has a chance to really rest up, he becomes a championship contender once again. Right now, he can return to Korea, rest up, and get some good practice with his teammates. Excluding his one match in Challenger, I think he will have a period of two months or so until his appearance in Season 3... I have a feeling that he will go deep.

After all, in 2012, Mvp got to the finals twice: against Squirtle in the first half of the year, and against Life in the second half. Well, in the first half of 2013, Mvp faced Stephano in the finals... I think the second half of the year will hold yet another finals appearance. (Except there is no Life in EU, so Mvp won't be stopped!)

What do you guys think about LG and IM? (http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=424494) I think I will remove LG from this Fan Club for now. I really hope that Mvp's team isn't in trouble!

I added 5 more articles (page 25).

I read the article..

means players play games for LG without any payment for months..

well...that sucks...

Mvp's Challenger League bracket has been revealed. We have DIMAGA vs. BlinG in the Ro40. The winner of DIMAGA/BlinG will face Beastyqt in the Ro24. Then, the winner of that match will go on to face Mvp in the Ro16.

Mvp has absolutely sick bracket luck. His bracket contains no Koreans (he dodged players like StarDust and ForGG), and even the foreigners in his bracket aren't the absolute best.

DIMAGA - I won't deny that DIMAGA is a good player. However, Mvp destroyed DIMAGA last season. Also, Mvp dismantled Ret... I think Mvp's TvZ is still solid against foreigners. He should be favored to beat DIMAGA again.

BlinG - BlinG may actually be Mvp's toughest challenge due to Mvp's TvP. He looked terrible against Grubby and HasuObs. Indeed, facing another Protoss is worrying, but BlinG is nowhere near as good as Grubby and HasuObs (in my opinion). Also, are two series enough to determine Mvp's TvP? Probably not, we'll have to wait and see. Honestly, if Mvp were facing another Protoss like MC, NaNiwa, or MaNa, I would be worried, but I think BlinG will be an okay opponent.

Beastyqt - Mvp's TvT is actually somewhat of a mystery right now, since he has not played the matchup in a few months. Thinking back to Mvp vs. INnoVation, Mvp's TvT seemed very good with a weakness to Hellbat drops (which have since been nerfed). I think we can simply rely on Mvp's mechanics to pull through in TvT.

I added 25 more articles (page 19). Check out 35 new photos from IEM Cologne, 1 new photo from OSL, and 4 new photos from GSL Season 4 2012!

Edit: DIMAGA just eliminated BlinG, so we won't have to worry about a TvP anytime soon! 1.5 days remain until Mvp's triumphant return to Premier League!

Mvp's TvZ: 66%
DIMAGA's ZvT: 48%
Head to Head Record: 3-3 (50%)
- DIMAGA 1-0 Mvp @ GSL Korea vs. World 2011 (WoL)
- DIMAGA 2-0 Mvp @ WCS S1 2013 EU Ro32 Group Stage (Online)
- Mvp 3-0 DIMAGA @ WCS S1 2013 EU Ro4

       (1872) Mvp 0-0 DIMAGA (1274)
-----------------------------------------
55.24% 2-0 0-2 6.59%
28.37% 2-1 1-2 9.80%
-----------------------------------------
83.61% 16.39%

Median outcome: Mvp 2-0 DIMAGA

Estimated by Aligulac. Modify.

After a disappointing exit from WCS EU S2, the King looks to return to Premier League. Here is an interesting fact: throughout 2011 and 2012, there have been times where Mvp has fallen out of Code S, but he has only played in the Up & Downs exactly once (April 2011). Europe also has its version of the Up & Downs but Mvp will undoubtedly want to qualify for Premier League without complications: directly, through the Round of 16.

It's no secret that INnoVation has been terrorizing Soulkey and Polt just crushed Jaedong in WCS AM. It is clear that the metagame is favorable for Terran, but just how good is Mvp's TvZ?

Truth be told, it's hard to tell. I will say with confidence that Mvp does not win due to lucky Widow Mine shots - in fact, he is probably one of the most unlucky Terrans in that regard. However, his other skills are certainly up to par, as his games against Ret demonstrate. He won game 1 by simply out-multitasking Ret, while game 2 was won by early game Widow Mine drop strategies. Admittedly, that does not really tell us how he would fare in a "standard TvZ" (Biomine vs. Ling/Bling/Muta).

How good is Mvp's TvZ? With the memory of a disastrous 0-6 against Korean Zergs online fresh in our minds, the answer remains unclear. Despite this, his TvZ is still probably good enough to take care of business here.

Prediction: Mvp 2-0 DIMAGA

Fuck yes! Mvp beats DIMAGA 2-1 and advances to Premier League for S3 the easy way!

Here is a recap of the games (spoiler-ed in case you want to watch for yourself).

Game 1
+ Show Spoiler +
Long turtle macro game. Newkirk Redevelopment Precinct

Mvp opens CC first into 3CC 2Ebay while DIMAGA quickly takes 4 bases. Mvp's first Hellions get caught by Zerglings and die. Mvp attempts a Marine/Mine push, but the latency was noticeable. Casters kept lagging the game, it was pretty much unplayable. Mvp's push got steamrolled, Ultralisks came out for DIMAGA. Mvp retreated, took his side of the map, and turtled up with PFs in the middle of the map.

DIMAGA played passively, trying to deny some bases of Mvp. DIMAGA ended the game with a 10k+ bank. Mvp attempts a BC transition with tons of Ravens, DIMAGA spots it and makes tons of Corruptors. Mvp tries to take the bottom base, DIMAGA attacks. Seeker Missiles hit the Corruptors too late and all the BCs die, DIMAGA remaxes instantly.

Watch the first ~15-20 minutes for a showcase of how bad KR-EU lag can be!

DIMAGA 1-0 Mvp

Game 2
+ Show Spoiler +
Bel'Shir Vestige SE

Mvp opens 1rax expand, DIMAGA hatch first. Mvp cleverly hides a Starport and goes for Cloak Banshees with Hellions. All of his Hellions die to Zerglings again, but Cloakshees do lots of damage (kill almost 20 workers). Mvp takes a 3rd and starts a stream of Biomine towards DIMAGA's 4th. DIMAGA tries to defend but Mvp leaps ahead, up 30-50 supply. Mvp shows some decent control despite lag. DIMAGA's 4th goes down. Mvp pushes into DIMAGA's 3rd, DIMAGA can't hold.

Mvp 1-1 DIMAGA

Game 3
+ Show Spoiler +
Neo Planet S

Mvp opens with Reapers, DIMAGA opens gasless 4 queens. Mvp pushes with about 2 reapers, 4 hellions, and a medivac with 2 hellbats. The hellbats find a great position and roast all of DIMAGA's lings. Mvp completely denies mining in DIMAGA's natural and kills off DIMAGA's double evo chambers. DIMAGA finally gets roaches and pushes Mvp back, but Mvp comes back with Marauders and kills DIMAGA's 3rd. Ling runby into Mvp's natural is shut down with a wall + 5 Hellbats. Meanwhile, Mvp has 5rax and 3OC... Mvp goes in for the kill. DIMAGA has one last stand with roach/hydra, which crumbles to hellbat/marauder/marine/medivac.

Mvp 2-1 DIMAGA

The lag was certainly worrisome, but Mvp pulls through with some good play!

That third game was a master class. Wish he would stop and heal already so he could be back at the top.

I just spent some time going over the points and Mvp should be a lock for Blizzcon at this point, before the start of Season 3 16th place is at 1900 points(removing stephano from top 16) and he's at 3500 points with one season left to play in Premier.

Mvp is probably already qualified, but winning WCS EU S3 and then WCS S3 would be nice, just in case.

I have added VODs from Mvp vs. DIMAGA. Watch game 1 if you want a showcase of how bad lag can be. Watch game 2 if you want to see Mvp crush a Zerg with a Mine push. Watch game 3 if you want to see a 1-sided hellbat stomp like the WCS EU S1 days.

I have added 30 more articles (page 7). Also, check out one new photo from WCS EU S1!

Mvp is going to a fan event in Sydney, I am so jealous of those who can go meet him I have to wait until Blizzcon and even then It's not any kind of guarantee I will get a picture or anything.
