Naah. Let's give credit where it's due; Thorzain is the best foreign Terran and a really good TvP:er with an unusual playstyle.

If Naniwa manages to climb out of the losers bracket, I think he'll defeat him in the finals.

I didn't say terran op, just summed the 2nd game up. Thorzain really was basically just spamming ghosts and empd everything that moved.

EDIT: As ghost is not marine, you need a whole lot of macro and other shenanigans to have 20+ of them, all that happened before the emp spam!

Thorzain just took better engagements in the last game. there was a point at which Nani had an opportunity to kill him, but thorzain just set things up well, once again credit where its due.
Never Forget.

Omg Nani just played like a low masters.

Hate to say it but he will fail epicly in the TSL as well unless he shapes up alot.
JohnnyRecco have probably been following him on stream for a few days no and his PvZ simply is not that scary.

God I hate Zerg

Sortof played well, but Naniwa seemed shaky and nervous, almost. He made simple mistakes that added up to bring him down in the end. It's odd, he seemed so strong earlier today. I missed his winners bracket series vs Sortof where he 2-0:ed him, did anyone see it?

I still have faith in Naniwa, he may be going through a bad spell right now being a true fan means I will wait until he finds what he needs to win again. There may be bad months and strings of less than desirable results ( god know he won't be happy with 4th) but it just means that his next big victory is all the sweeter.

There will always be ups and downs. Still heartbreaking to watch him struggle and fall. Maybe it is nerves due to really wanting to win something big in Sweden. I will never stop believing though. His passion and dedication will take him to the very top one day. Hope he won't let these losses affect his preparation for the next events too much. Possibly it will motivate him even more.

Haha, I'm not going to lose faith in Naniwa because of one or two bad series. Everyone gets shaky and underperforms every once in a while, and I doubt we'll see Naniwa show a bad month or a string of dissapointing results.

He seems to want to win an event in Sweden really badly, which might explain why he seems nervous and prone to simple mistakes. Tomorrow's TSL, I'm confident he'll be in top shape then.

Fighting, as they say.

He's finished top 8 in two GSLs in a row. Can't really call that a slump. :p

There were people in chat saying he's on a slump, but really it's more like he's just not in good shape at the moment. Maybe it's his mindset, maybe he's jet-lagged, maybe he has a headache (he did say he had a headache yesterday after losing to sortOf at NärCon, the IESF qualifier, and maybe he still isn't feeling alright). Either way, I have no doubt he'll play better soon. He is a lot better than what he showed today.

Still though, I wonder if Naniwa will contemplate on what he said in an interview with... um... I think her name is Rachel... anyway, he said something along that lines that in one way he doesn't think Thorzain is the "King in the north", at least not until he beats Sase or him (Naniwa), and he said that he'd like to see him try (when asked if Thorzain could beat them I think). So like I said: I wonder if he'll contemplate that, and accept that Thorzain is the King in the north.

I think it's fine. Naniwa can be the Kingslayer, which is pretty badass as well, and it fits a lot better with his style.

People, he lost to players he shouldn't lose to, but he came back from going into GSL Top 8 and ALMOST beating DRG. He's not in a slump. At all. He's getting better and better, and just had a bad day or two.
