I do agree with your post in mainly the fact that OP pre proposes his point with, "I'm not whiting knighting or asian girl fetishing" and then launches into points that sound very much like it. Doing so really gives off the impression of the very opposite. For example, saying "I'm not gay but he seems attractive." is different than flat out saying "he seems attractive". In the latter, the question of sexual preference doesn't come up because in the speaker's point, it's not an issue. Second, I'm not certain about this diversity OP is referring to. Do you really think white male anchor + Asian female co-anchor is ... diverse? If anything I'm surprised Blizzard is pulling off something so gimmick. It really says something when the OP is about a girl that's referred to as "adds "colour to the scene ... and an accent that requires the defense of "... sincerley put; pretty damn cute." Kellymilkis doesn't deserve most of the bash she gets because regardless of faults or merits, she contributes to the scene but her fanboys (like most in any scene really) certainly don't endear her case many. | ||

Most people probably dont realize this, but for being born and raised in singapore, her english is really really good. I have traveled a lot through asia i can say that during my stays there, i never met anyone who had nearly as good pronounciation as her and noone came close to the volume of her english vocabulary (wich is REALLY impressive). I dont think people realize how HARD it is for a person from her part of the world to learn to speak and understand english. As you might know, asian languages are fundamentally different from ours on the most basic level of speech; how you articulate speech. just wondering if you knew that one of the main (if not THE main) language of Singapore, one used in official documentation, taught in schools...etc is in fact English? with that said, the accent spoken in Singapore is quite...distinct and difficult to change | ||
