u can think of me however u want but at the end of the bw days the only top na players were me and nony(jf was also good but he doesnt play sc2), towards the end of the bw-era i looked down on 95% of the foreign bw players(think of this however u want but i promise u that any top player would have the same attitude), once i switched over to sc2 i was shocked to see how close the skill gap between those same players and me had gotten, in my head they wernt even supposed to be able to touch me yet that wasnt the reality of the situation and that hurt my ego, ALOT. now imagine how a player like nony would feel about the same thing ^^, thats wat hes fighting against
Do you not count idra as an NA player?

also, anyone who managed to compete in tsl2 has the right to say that he was better than 95% of other foreign players ;3 just putting that out there tt1=kabal...

regardless of that the bw community was really small so all the players knew everything about each other, it was easy to evaluate each others skill level

Who would be the best NA Protoss right now anyway? I can't think of many except Kiwi.

He's always pronounced it Noony, but lots of people for some reason say Nohny.

desrow and combat-ex, duh

The question about Nony is whether he can develop a high frustration tolerance while doing mass practice for 6 months to catch up with players like Kas or Nerchio (not even talking about Koreans). Anything less won`t cut it and please don`t mention his extraordinary talent because relying on talent hasn`t work for him in Sc2 so far and will never as in contrast to BW there are 50 foreigners practicing fulltime. I wish him best of luck.

I'm sticking with Nohny because that's simply how it is.

There isn't really much catching up to do, certainly nothing that will take 6 months. It's not like you accumulate XP by playing for years. Nony himself said it takes like 2 or 3 months for a player to reach his full potential, and that sounds much more accurate to me.
I can't see what you can do in 6 months that you can't do in 3 to be honest. It's different for players who are just starting out and developing their RTS fundamentals obviously.

Blame Artosis. But Nohny sounds way cooler anyway.
EDIT: Sooo...did he change his ID back to Nony or something? If so I support this decision and I fucking love you Nony.

I've always pronounced it No-knee, and I have to continue even though I know the proper pronunciation. It's too late for me D:
In other news, it excites me greatly to see his ID back to Nony. Tyler's been my favourite player ever since I got into SC, and I'm always watching his stream when it's up and rooting for him at tournaments. Here's to hoping he's practising a ton and getting into amazing shape for MLG and other tournaments this year! Gogo Tyler!

It's Nohny. The verdict of the masses and constant use by almost all major commentators and community figures > original authorial intent.
Plus, Noony just sounds weird. Sue me.
