Yet there was a disquieting thought in the back of my head that while MC was a dominant Protoss, all the other sons of Aiur were inconsistent at best, and certainly never looked unbeatable. Hong-Un showed the most innovative play of any P player including MC (motherships, inventing GSL-level dual forge play, phoenix openings, etc.) but was woefully inconsistent, and never shined against the tiptop competition (Nestea, MKP, etc.). Tester always had hype around him and showed flashes of brilliance, but never had the results to back them up. And otherwise... MC more or less stood alone. Occassionally a San or Alicia would come out of nowhere to show great promise, but as we see today, neither is in GSL play anymore. Yet MC continued on, and won a second championship in such dominating fashion that many of my doubts were quelled for a time. While I was delighted with his success, though, at some point I wondered if it was simply his superior micro/macro that was winning him games more than his ability to play Protoss well, as no one else in the GSL seemed to find consistent success. He stood alone on the mountaintop of Protoss. As hordes of Terran heroes emerged and glutted the ranks of Code S and Code A (MMA, Bomber, Ryung, Noblesse, and many more) and Zerg's ranks grew beyond the best player in SC2, Nestea (Losira, Coca, DongRaeGu, etc.), MC remained alone atop the Protoss peak. InCa went on a hot streak in the summer but was dismantled by NesTea, and has subsequently also disappeared from the GSL ranks. Puzzle won Code A but has not shown dominance in Code S. Her0 shows promise, but has proven nothing outside of foreign tournaments. Indeed, the last 2 GSL Code S Finals have been ZvZ and TvT. There has never been a PvP finals in Code S, and with Protoss falling left and right, MC included, it seems tough to imagine things getting better. But I remember the early days of SC2, when FruitDealer proved that playing Zerg was not impossible, and Protoss seemed like the Forgotten Race once again. And I believe. I believe that MC will rise again, and I wish him all the best. His play, manner and creativity are all among the very top tier of SC2 pros, and I wish him all the best as he attempts to move forward. Rise again, MC! Do us proud! I believe! | ||

Also I don't think that their's just 1 build vs Zergs. * The zealot pressure that Tyler did to someone in MLG Global Invitational to deny the Zerg's expansion. * MC's very own 2 gate opening with a Stargate Into expansion (He prefers it Over the simple 3 gate expand.) It almost seems as If MC only knew 1 build, which he show-cased on all 3 games. (Forge Fast Expand) Now whether that build is the most economic or not? I'm not really sure. Obviously, Mc does not only know one build. Do not use those tyler or minigun games and try to convince ppl, because that will not work. Mc is at another level, comparing to them. | ||
