My thoughts exactly. Why stick with UPtoss and get owned by a 2nd grade Korean? Why not switch to Terran and become the 1st SC2 bonjwa?

I guess that makes MC a 3rd grade Korean by your logic. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
P.S. NesTea has won the most GSL's and hes not a terran.

I love you MC I hope you don't get too discouraged. I think a nerf or buff is inevitable but even without it I know you are close to being able to take out the top korean terrans again. I hope you do well in teamleague to regain some confidence!!

1. MC ist obviously a 1st grade player. Puma is a scrub, if we compare his and MC's achievements.

2. He should switch to Terran, because the learning curve and the macro is more similar to Protoss.

Where does that urban legend come from? Seriously, LOL?

The only evidence we have from Puma's skill (from the BW days), were his games vs Nal_Ra (in the Old Boy series). And even there, he wasnt top of the crop, just better than Nal_Ra, who was in retirement for like 3 years and decided to practice for 3 months and take a shot at a league.

MC you're still my favorite player, and always will be. ♥
But yeah being a Korean gamer is very imba. If you're a non-korean gamer you have to balance your game playing with earning money and your real life. If you're Korean you just sit around playing games all day eating 2 cent ramyun and becoming gosu.

... Are you for real?

This second grade Korean was FlasH's first choice in practice partners and could run circles around MC in Broodwar. You might say this is not BW. Yes you are right. In SC2, PuMa is 7-3 in major tournament championships against MC (NASL and IEM). Only two of those wins is this elleged 1-1-1 build.

I'm an MC fanboy as much as the next guy, but seriously, let us atleast be accurate if we are to insult a player that beat MC.

loving the new MC vs Puma rivalry!!! almost as good as Idra vs huk rivalry. but at least there is no BM involved...

will MC ever be able to take down Puma or will he have to soon had over his title as the best Korean player???

one great storyline evolving. ^_^ which is good cause it something i felt Koreans have lacked over foreigners.

You do understand that you don't need to be good on TV to play well in a practice environment right?
Even someone like (Z)Hyuk with his stellar 30% win ZvT is a practice house bonjwa but fails hard when he gets to the televised games.
Even if he doesn't have any notable wins on TV he can still play amazing practice games.

Bad players can still be good practice partners.

I don't understand how being Flash's favorite practice partner makes Puma that great of a player, he has zero accomplishments in Brood war. You can't just blame nerves on that. And as for sc2 he is obviously good but so are tons of other terrans, and he is not zerg or protoss to have problems getting into GSL...
And MC didn't played greedy in their last games, 1 gate fe is the most optimal build against 111, so this "looks like his risks paid off amirite" is irrelevant.

Why the fuck do people keep bringing in the whole practice partner shit as if it means anything, EVEN if its true? I don't know how would any of you guys know who were Flash's favorite practice partners, I certainly don't speak to Flash personally to know that, and frankly I doubt anyone here does, but don't you realize that it's not even relevant?

Being a good practice partner requires completely different mind and skillset than being a pro player. Sure, some of it is transferrable - but at the end of day, a great deal of amazing players are horrendous practice partners, and even more players who are great in practice are terrible in tournament play. It's not even about 'choking on TV' or whatever, it's just a different skillset. It's like, I don't know, claiming a quality assurance guy should be an amazing player, because y'know, he spends days upon days testing video games. It's not the same, at all.

That said, PuMa is a good player, quite likely on par with the good but not too accomplished terran players like Ganzi, Taeja, Noblesse, aLive or whatever, but the bullshit claims about him being 'the best Terran in the world' are getting fucking old - he's NOWHERE CLOSE to MVP, at least right at this point.

As for the retarded 'MC plays risky in all his games' sentiment, I don't even know what to think of anyone who says that. MC is THE ONLY FUCKING PROTOSS IN THE WORLD who even has the balls to do anything apart from the textbook standard 2base plays which are more of a gamble than a slot machine these days. Find me a single other Protoss player out there who has more variance in his play, who actually at least TRIED to play macro games instead of flipping coins with VR allins or 7gate bullshit against top tier Terran players (and no, NA ladder doesn't really count).

Does that make him stupid? I don't know, maybe, seeing as it doesn't seem to work very well. But at least MC is actually trying to be a better player, rather than hope his all-in doesn't get scanned or blind countered by lolol bunkers.

hyuk is awesome he defeated jd in pl finals, eliminated flash from bachus osl(to give his teammate a chance to stay) and all killed stx on their tourney in the final match. more than average if you ask me

Oh MC, how I love you.

You make Protoss look easy,
Even though the Terrans are a little cheesy.
The Zergs scream IMBA! IMBA! IMBA!
While you end their pathetic cries.
And when it comes time to face a toss,
You show that choobo who's boss.

As time passes, you grow stronger,
But delay no longer.
Go fly like a butterfly and sting like a bee,
For this is the Age of oGsMC!
Your success is only measured by the strength of your competitors.

There is no "proof" I doubt anyone would save screenshots of PRIVATE practice games. The fact of the matter is, Artosis once said it and now everyone believes it. We don't know how Artosis knew this but because he rarely lies we believed him. Also, what would you be looking for for proof? A video? Screenshot? because those things wouldn't be available. I doubt Flash would've wanted his TvT strats released when he practiced vs. PuMa....

And as counter proof we have Nal_Ra's Old Boy, where Puma barely manages to take out Nal_Ra, who was in retirement for 3 (!!!!!) years and only practiced for 3 months before attempting to qualify in a league.

Ergo, such a guy could never in hell be Flash's practice partner.

And in SC2 he is good, but not more than that.
