Probably more pissed that he had to play Zenio again in the brackets.
He basically lose to Sen, Zenio, Boxer (not important, idra was out of the play offs), Zenio again
Both zenio and sen are pretty amazing at ZvZ
And Idra was really underprepared for them both too. Casting most of that week, and behind on the metagame :/ Zenio got quite a beastly ZvZ though, and Sen is pretty good too
oh my god yeah.. esp. casting most of the week, it actually made me feel sad when he got knocked out LOL.. o well theres always next time

Judging from his loss against a random NA Grandmaster Protoss like Agh he doesn't play sloppy but is in a major slump not to speak of a huge crisis.
I'm glad that his zvt seems to be stable though. He won against Drewbie and played pretty convincingly against DDE if you keep in mind that he lost to him in a tournament in the past. I especially like the second game on shakuras where he lost his third the time the terran took his and didn't leave but came back thanks to his amazing macro.
I don't get DDE's playstyle though. Both times he sticked to his marine tank thor mix and died to the inevitable tech swith to broodlord infestor. His preparation were two vikings......
he is one of the few terran not afraid to make thors against muta
he will do very slow siege tank, bunker, thor pushes on maps like shakuras that are insanely hard to break with muta/ling/bane and hit befoer hive tech

Im not sure this deserves a reply....regardless of if he is a 'random GM', you do understand what GM in itself means?...Top in the world, world class, grandmaster players can take games off anyone....

yea huk doesn't ever lose ladders games and neither does sen, MC, bomber, w/e I mean your not in a slump if you lose a ladder game to a random.

Agh was on Team LG and was even in the IPL season 1. He isn't a random Protoss.

that was kinda even dumber. what has agh accomplished? nothing singnificant (yet).
ladder rank doesnt mean a whole lot
.Top in the world, world class. lol you heard about combat-ex? he was top 5 GM in NA at some point

It certainly does work in the mid game. That's why he defeated idra some time ago. But it doesn't work against broodlord infestor. In both games idra had some kind of an advantage against DDE but when his broodlords popped DDE lost it totally. He had to retreat immediately, got chased after and steamrolled. Even the snipe of the third in game two wasn't enough to pull through with his style.

What are you talking about? He lost 2-1 to Agh in the IEM Qualifier. This has nothing to do with ladder. IEM Qualifier is pretty important as IEM Masters on gamescom has a nice price pool and it's rather prestigous to play in. Agh is Grandmaster but his list of accomplishments is marginal and his protoss is definitely not on par with top protoss.
And I'm pretty much positive MC wouldn't drop a series against a player like agh. He could lose a game but not the series.
Funny how everybody critizeses this statement but nobody gives credit for the rest of my post. I'm happy for idra and his regained confidence in zvt after he had some downswings against mma, thorzain and finally cheesetarson.
His zvp though has to be brought to a new level in which he doesn't lose to players like agh but steamrolls them.
EDIT: Another significant change I've noticed in idrA's play in game 1 vs DDE was that he was extremely patient with his attack when the huge marine thor push came along. He has lost many zvt's because of premature engagements in which he lost all this ling bling to tanks. This time he was super patient, only engaged with one or two infestors to significantly weaken the marines and delay DDE's push until his broodlords spawned.
From what i've seen his play wasn't so weak but his ZvP was atrocious.
With the games in the last MLG and the new styles other zergs are experimenting with i would have expected something far more advanced.
Although... maybe he just wanted to take 'weak' protoss out with the old style and rely on far superior macro because he didn't want to reveal new builds before MLG. I know it sounds highly unlikely but then again, what are the odds of going BACK in a MU...
edit: i hope he does well in MLG, will be fun to watch with all the koreans

No, sry. Just no.
I love these excuses about idra losing.
Maybe he did it tactically to get into a better group. Maybe he played the old tactics to confuse his opponents. Maybe he left the game prematurely to just give them a chance but then finally drop the series. He just lost. Maybe because of a lack of skill. Maybe because of imbalance. Who knows. But I'm entirely positive that he didn't lose on purpose. That's just ridic.
Btw what do you guys think of the series between Axslav and Idra? I especiall want to hear your opinion on the second game. Did idra play honest in that game? I'm really torn apart between his game was brilliantly but unfortunately didn't work out and " WTF is this shit? U MAD BRO??"
I mean he sticked to ling hydra and was able to defend for a long time against an increasing amount of colossus but burned huge amounts of hydras and gas. His runbys were semi effective, too. But this didn't lose him the game. He essentially lost because he turned all his shitty corruptors into even shittier broodlords and added some infestors. Then his army just disappeard. I'm almost sure he could have won the game if he didn't morph his corruptors but build even more and killed the colossus. Not to mention that he would have been far better off if had switched from his shidralisks to roaches. Funny that he didn't even gg after this exhausting game. Maybe he just forgot it.......
This game was really odd. It kinda seemed that they had a team-intern bet going on like "Hey, I can beat you in a bo3 making hydras every game" "lololol, no, i can beat you going two base stargate with pure voidrays every game. Hell, I will even build a mothership"
Is this Axslav's typical playstyle? He seemed to play very passive and go for the Colossus Voidray Stalker Deathball every game. Maybe he did it because idra hates it......
