no, but having an ability that increases research time of upgrades by 50% (and is an essentially free ability, no resurce cost) helps to get ahead of your oppenent. combine that with being more cost effective than the "cost effective race" due to using an ability(not necessarily smart gamesense/good decision making) makes affording them easier. nothing against protoss players, thats just the truth

Have you really watched the game? IdrA didn't only make roaches. He had other upgrades like roach speed and adrenal glands for infestors going up.

Vs normal toss yes.
But MC,HuK, Naniwa, and Sase are not normal protoss. and other than a couple of other toss, these are the same ones he's been playing and losing games too for the lat couple weeks.
