Losira has a high %, but very few of his recorded opponents are top tier protoss.

Zenio, July, Leenock, jookto, revival all have terrible-mediocre vs P records.

lol, zenio has a bad record against everything except z v z

where's the crying?

in other news, idra is up against tarson next in the LB. if he wins that, he's up against MC. if he wins that, he's up against the loser of huk vs naniwa and if he wins that, he's up against the winner of huk vs naniwa.

last homestory cup zerg hope gogo fighting!!!

1 zerg, 3 protoss, 1 terran at this point

I'm very impressed with idra fans. I missed the Huk Idra game, checked the result, and came into this thread expecting to see some drama/flame/latest protoss abuse that I can catch up on and use myself. But it has been very tame.

I'm hoping for a idra-MC rematch in the lowers bracket. It'll be epic. None of that pseudo-drama to pump up the crowd. Just pure spirit of competition and a friendly hug at the end.

I guess koreans are pretty good :/

still, I'm holding a lot of hope for the EG house :D hopefully they all go beastmode, the only reason koreans are so dominant is because of the amount/quality of training

Epic list, but you have to move Ret to the Korean side. Still, your point is very strong.

MC is the best korean.

Zenio is the best ZvZer behind NesTea, he is like Inca to MC.

Boxer proxy 2raxed cheesed 2 games in a row, idra didn't find it (even though he used 2 scouting drones). Korean zergs would lose to that as well.

MMA is top 3 terran.

Huk is Huk.

Just saying, it's not koreans that own idra, it's some of the absolute best koreans.

No balance discussion or anything. Just something that came to my mind during the bo3.

Why has Protoss so many gimmicks and what has Zerg on the other hand?

1) A minuscule mobile permanently cloaked DETECTOR unit that costs virtually just robo time and can constantly keep an eye on everything important on the field. In combination with zergs lack of anti air it leaves the zerg no room for surprise flanking moves.

2) The ability to create units virtually all over the map for either reinforcement or surprise attacks.

3) The ability to reinforce in late game situations on the spot and nearly as fast as a zerg combined with a much more effective and sturdy army.

3) A permantly cloaked unit which deals insane amounts of damage and can be morphed into a much stronger unit for free and without an upgrade combined with the lack of zerg scouting abilities.

4) Units which do not only have hp but insanely fast regenerating shields combined with an excellent allround unit which can use a teleport move to maximize the potential of these shields.

5) An allround defense structure which shoots ground, air and detects.

6) Extremely strong late game units uncomparable to anything zerg has.

7) An extremely strong ability very early available in the game that can completely change the map structure temporarily, trap and clump up units if used properly.

What is the downside to all of this? I can see the downside against terran with bio armies beating gateway units and casters capable of instantly removing parts of the shield and energy of the enemy units but this isn't true at all for zerg. Blink stalkers seem to dominate every late game battle lately. Please just tell me the downside of these abilities or what comparable stuff zerg has.

I think that this is a result of the tournament being a bit under the radar, so the type of people that would usually be annoying by being fanboys or haters are not around. Every second reddit post in a HSC-related thread is "what are they playing for/links for VODs please".

True. Still, I agree with motbob's point (which I believe is "Idra has to train more to compete with the top Koreans").

P.S. starsucks, there are other threads on TL apart from this one.

He said in an interview at DreamHack that he threw the game against Sjow then tried to beat NaDa but lost to a bunker rush.
