Well IdrA's mistake was misreading HuK's build as a 6gate allin when in fact it was a 6gate blink expo. So IdrA was on 3 base vs 3 base for longer than necessary and overproduced units.

Making blink stalkers is a very useful talent toi have

Why doesn't he just throw down like 5 spines, he knows something like that is coming.

Except it was a 6gate allin that IdrA read correctly, but since HuK new IdrA read it, he changed strategy. So there goes that.
Also, I think IdrA could have hold that if he made the spine crawlers sooner =/

:/ blink. IdrA was even making jokes, but huk just didnt want to shake hands.

nah it's like 1 hp every minute.

Actually, huk just choosed to expand because idra scouted well. If he didn't, he would have gone for the push. And even with the expand, if Idra didn't make unit, Huk could have punished him for that. He played accordingly, and as always, protoss win.
|
Nah, he would have been out produced either way.

If you watched HuK's games in Dreamhack, you would realize that HuK has been doing this 6gate blink expo vs all zergs when he doesn't get to forge expo.

how is it a misstake? he has to make units if he see 6gate blink, he can't just hope huk is gonna expand and not pressure, because if he droned and huk didn't expand he would have died.. ur argument is invaild.

Idra where's your hydras... soooo many red stalkers...
|
Spinecrawler would have mean death either way. He was already low on drone and spine just get sniped by stalker blinking away instantly.

Look at my response to another poster above.
IdrA overcompensated for a push that was never coming. He had less drones than HuK had probes when HuK put up his third. How does that happen? When HuK set up his third safely and IdrA put up a far fourth without any chance to saturate it, it was over as HuK chronoboosted out 3-0 vs IdrA's 1-0.

Er, let's not be too inflammatory. I didn't see either of them going for the handshake.

IdrA needs to go back to Korea, even if it's just for a few tournaments a year. I think practicing in the environment for a few weeks could only help him improve his playstyles.
|
i think if idra could have creeped a bit better...
also maybe if he put 3 spines on the edge of his creep and had all the roaches behind them he could have held it off until he got infestor instead of losing roach after roach.
either way idra is now in the losers bracket....he still has a chance but it is certainly a harder one.
