Idra was waiting for someone to do mineral gather rate analysis for starbow. Well, i did it just for him! Since there doesn't seem to be a dedicated starbow forum, so I'm gonna post the link here:

The basic conclusions were:

100% saturation means 8 workers on 8 mineral patches.

SPREAD WORKERS! When saturating the base from 100% to 200% saturation, drones add income at an average of 63% efficiency. Past 200% saturation, worker efficiency drops down to 22%.

Always transfer workers to saturate newly created base. It will repay itself in less than a minute and will add 50% increase in income after that.

From reading his posts on the thread, it seems that he enjoys the game. He posted a few balance opinions, but since the game is so new, he isn't assertive about it. (He knows that he needs to be cautious with balance opinions while the game is so new.) storm still seems absurdly strong but i think p would have 0 chance vs z without it, and at least it's cooler and more workable than forcefields.

I would assume he will still cast given the opportunity but nothing wrong with exploring new options in his life. He's spent plenty of time playing starcraft including an extended period where he didn't really enjoy himself. If streaming isn't gonna pay the bills then it's time to give something new a shot.

Yeah I can't imagine him growing old playing Starcraft 2 on stream, a game he seems to have a love-hate relationship towards (now mostly hate), which has also surely become stale after playing it thousands of times over.

You kind of need a 'real' occupation at some point because you can't stream SC2 (or just playing games generally) for the rest of your life. I think streaming is generally only useful as an ancillary source of income unless you are a very entertaining person, so it really makes sense that he decided to go back to school and learn. I wonder what he's going to study??
