After having a break and maybe the extra analysis will help him sort through some of the issues causing him to lose. As unlikely as that is at this point, I will have hope. I hope so too. Maybe after something like this he'll get his old brood war skill back and start crushing everyone.

G5 still plays Brood War, so he's around somewhere. I don't think he frequents TL that much though, but he played in the first TLS. Haven't seen him in TLS2 yet but he may still sign up. Unless he already qualified for the TLS championship. I forget.

Obviously it sucks losing a safe income (and a good one at that), but new things can come of this. It will force him to do something else than sit in his apartment and play a game he does not particularly enjoy. If anything, and if i understood the RealTalk correctly, this could be considered somewhat of a relief. Even though it's sad we're not going to see him compete, I'm excited to see what comes of this. It's undeniable that he's a huge part of the community, and attracts a lot of attention. Place the release from EG on top of that - and he's probably the most watched player for the next couple of weeks (if not months). I hope he takes advantage of this situation, and find himself doing something he truly enjoy in the future. I don't post all that often, but I've been an IdrA fan for quite a while - and I hope things turn out nice for him. And who knows, maybe he will compete again, after taking some time off doing other stuff (i.e. cast horrible plays and think he can do much better, with less effort). Also, Legacy of the Void might change things. Time will tell.

I found it kind of a shame that because of his recent performance that he is not highlighted or seen as much in the community other than for the drama and I think this shift in his career will be good for him and us. Please bring Idra to the casting desk, it will be a welcome relief to have someone other than Artosis[who is my all time favorite caster] that really can delve into the strategy.
