The move makes perfect sense, SC2 seems to be not big at all in Korea. But then again it would have sort of make sense to fly him there for the beginning of GSL and to let him stay in the foreigners house or whatever. Listen to SotG, they explain it pretty well there. it WAS a good idea at the time. It is more worth while to say in the west now. They were talking about the house like two weeks ago. Changing their plans like this - Idra is yet to buy a plain ticket - sounds like they never put the plan for the Korean house in motion anyway.

Koreans don't like his attitude towards the game or his online persona. That's why you hear such players putting more effort into coming up with ways to beat him. Sure, he can practice on the ladder all he wants and still get good match-ups/practice, but its difficult to devise game plans when a) your EG teammates are at the other end of the world b) best players won't accommodate your needs for perfect practice. You could argue that when he switched from CJ Entus to EG, he knew that this would result in not having too much practice partners. So that would have been his choice and there would be no reason to "complain" about it. But then again, we do not know what his alternatives were. I don't want to argue, it's his decision and it will be cool to see him in more western tournaments.

I 4v4ed a dude with EGIdra as his name last night likely fake guy and his buddy 6 pooled us and still lost but I found it odd a person who may be a wannabe clone would have blizzcon credits in their fake acct, why not put those in your real one? Because his real account is EGidra, the dude is a fake 100%. Same with the numerous Liquid guys I've defeated in platnum league.

Idra never plays 4v4 (or 3v3 or 2v2 and yes, he did a few matches like that on kings of tin, but that's the exception confirming the rule)

US can! overtake Korea. hopefully will! we just need players like idrA to support the idea, create the hype and accelerate the process.
