Morrow is in the Assembly finals, doesn't look good for any hardcore IdrA fans... Thankfully Ret is standing in his way. If IdrA acutally counts Assembly as a major prized tournament.+ Show Spoiler + I'm talking about IdrA's promise to never speak about imbalance again, wonder what will happen to his show

Most of you don't seem to even get the point of why Idra said it. He was making the point that MorroW is not a better play than him, citing that he only beat him at IEM because of racial imbalance (I don't think anyone has a good argument against that, by the way). He made the statement to get his point across. The state of the game has changed since then. Whether morrow wins a prized tournament or not doesn't really change the fact that he's not a better player than Idra (which, once again, was idra's point).

I'm only watching if Artosis gets a big red stamp this time though. (I kid, of course I'd watch it) We're still talking Ret though, so I wouldn't start making the t-shirts yet.

I myself am seriously thinking about switching, too. I will wait for the next patch, if it doesn't contain any gamechanging and balancing stuff then I'll start practicing toss. That, or I will just l2p cuz I'm only at 3k.. but balance is already a huge factor at my skill level.

But Ret won it, so I guess they can keep using their old title. And people can keep going on about it for a while longer, lucky one am I right? Sigh. As an aside, god I love watching macro zergs :') Bring on the GSL plz..

You can either wait and hope for Blizz coming up with someful useful or you might as well just switch to the op race. I myself am seriously thinking about switching, too. That, or I will just l2p cuz I'm only at 3k.. but balance is already a huge factor at my skill level. I'm currently 3k masters and heavily practicing protoss in customs and on the ladder. It definitely is a much easier race to play than zerg and a lot less stressful. I get so frustrated losing to stupid all in garbage on the ladder that it causes me to rage in real life haha. But yeah I'm seriously enjoying protoss and am doing very well with them too.

If you play with fire, you get burned ![]() I find this so laughable that people bring this up to poke fun at idra. Back then, Morrow was a dominant terran, and would consistently win tournaments. This was also when people were debating if TvZ were imba or not pre-reaper nerf. and pre-roach buff. After the IEM tournament, Morrow mentioned that Dimaga just showed him to 5rax reaper the night before the final. And he used this build to beat idra in the finals. Morrow also stated in his interview that he felt slightly cheated because he felt people didn't respect him for his skill in sc, but just see the OP of reapers. At the same time, he was saying that terran macro was too easy, etc. Shortly afterwards, he announces his race switch to zerg. I guess the timing kind of seemed like Morrow was calling out idra or so. It was as if he was saying, "i'm a good player, just watch me own tournaments, regardless of the race." People were predicting that Morrow would start owning it up when he switched to zerg. After all, he was such a dominant player at the time. I myself expected Morrow to do well once he switched to zerg. Of course, I thought zerg was UP and difficult to play, so I expected to give him a month, mabe two, before he would actually be competitive in tournaments. So what happened? Morrow switches to zerg, loses a ton of ladder points. Pretty much posts no results for months and months. Now all this time later, he's won a couple of minor, irrelevant tournaments, and has finally started to place decent results. Not bad results, but compared to how strong Morrow was before, I really consider the whole thing a really disappointing failure. I think idra's point was proven, and morrow would have done way better if he stuck with terran. Still, it's nice to have a decent zerg in the scenes, especially in europe, so it's not like it was a bad thing. But, the point is that it seems counterintuitive to try to call out idra on that quote.

But then again, there is no need for people to post in here everytime MorroW makes to a finals just to stir up unnecessary bullshit. He played well and got second place out of 64 player there. That enough to prove that he is currently EU's best Zerg and people should leave it at that. On February 13 2011 07:19 Creighton wrote: MorroW going far as Zerg, kind of proved MorroW's point, not IdrA's. ;p IdrA's point was proven long ago. After the game was patches and Zerg got buffed and Terran nerfed, it stopped mattering because the game changed from where it was 8 months ago when IdrA made that comment. Give it a rest and don't post in this thread if your intentions are to stir up a flamewar.
