I only see Naniwa and stephano who are with no doubts better than him, the level of Idra and the others are close: Thorzain, Kas, Huk etc...
For exemple Thorzain didn't win something since a long time we don't give a shit about that

It was not "one tournament". Two weeks before IEM there was MLG Winter Arena, where Idra dropped out first round 0-4. Then he went 1-4 at IEM. In between, he lost (almost or actually) every team league match he played. In Korea, he lost both show matches he played 0-4. And at the moment he is 0-2 in his group in Iron Squid. That's not even debatable, he's doing really bad for quite some time now, even at foreigner events. It'd be cool if he'd showcase great matches soon, but there's no point in denying facts. in Winter arena be barely lost against one of the top Protoss's then fought the ZvZ GOD so not much to say there IEM was one tournament where he put out some bad results, but he beat Supernova so it wasnt all bad so ya, he does bad in one tournament and people start acting like hes been bad for ever Some people always acted like he's been bad forever. Some people prolly will always act like he's going to be bad forever. But right now, we have cause to say he's doing really bad, and not just because of IEM. He did lose mostly to really high level guys, but his play hasn't been that great, good or bad opponents. Though I do admit, some people make it a bigger deal than it is

The obnoxious "haters" (I fucking hate this word, but I don't know what else to use) only look at his poor showings. He is still a top foreigner without a doubt, but not at THE top right now. I'm a huge fan and always will be, but I don't feel the need to make excuses when he doesn't play well. It kinda makes sense that there is this huge differing of opinions. Sometimes he'll come out and play some of the best Starcraft ever seen from a foreigner (MLG Orlando 2011) and sometimes he'll come out and disappoint completely (IEM World Championships). Right now, with Naniwa out of the equation, Stephano is the best foreigner. Every other top foreigner can be grouped together under him. Little has been seen of Naniwa lately, so it's not fair to make a judgement.

"The Open Bracket This thing gets crazier with every event. The 240-player Open Bracket at the Winter Championships is completely sold out. We’ll have the full confirmed list of players for you tomorrow, but here’s a preview of some of the names you can expect to see: Select, Jinro, Thorzain, HasuObs, Rain, Artist, Minigun… and a ton more." I find it weird from a marketing perspective that they wouldn't mention him. Maybe I'm being weird.

Idra isn't just an open bracket player, sheesh you guys, even comparing him to players like Select or Jinro... ![]() But seriously now, from the MLG website: "The bottom 16 players from the Arena will start off the tournament in Open Winners Round 5, meaning they only have to win two matches to get into the Championship bracket, and three matches to make it into the Pools." Idra will be playing starting on day 2. P.S. How is it even possible that a hat beats Idra rage? Sometimes I despair at this community...
