Seems idra plans on doing some sort of commentary for awhile judging from his recent tweet (just might not be like he did today).
"might stop commentating during games and instead do replay analysis after. better focus while playing + more detailed analysis. thoughts?"

I think I would prefer that he tends to lose focus when he's raging while commentating. It also seems like IdrA rarely watches his replays so maybe watching that can help notice things he might have not noticed.

His decisions will make more sense after the end of the match because we get to see what was actually happening rather than just go "oh i guess he knows something that we don't"
|
Personally, I'd rather him do the analysis after the game because he did seem a little off of his game today. Although I'm sure he'll still be able to interject mid game with colorful comments and a brief analysis that wouldn't require brain power from him.

I think after would be better as well. But at the same time it would mean he is playing less games.

During. The fact that he played off has nothing to do with the commentary I think.

I would rather like to see good games without commentary, then bad games / games with miss-micro and commentary.

While I enjoy his commentary during, I couldn't disagree more with that statement, commenting while playing, especially when you aren't use to it, is a huge distraction in play. This isn't just seen in Idra as when Stephano first started commenting while playing he went something like 8-4 (which of course is good by most peoples standards but for stephano, I'm not use to seeing him lose... like at all, so it definitely affected him and he commented how he felt less focused)

Oh it does. Until you get used to it, it does affect your game play. Once you get used to it though (at least for most) it stops really effecting it but the first little bit it does a decent amount .

Should tweet IdrA about this poll tbh. My Twitter is being gay atm.

Replay analysis is so so much better than in game. He only sees it from 1 side, loses focus, and blames stupid shit when in game. I feel like he is more likely to have insightful analysis after the game.

I agree - after is better...I would prefer quality over quantity - especially since he is a pretty fast player.
It was hard for me to even really understand what exactly was going on when I first started playing/watching streams...Sometimes it still is, its not like you can see which hotkeys he is pressing. Plus it would be nice to see more detailed analysis. Also, it would probably be good for him as well as his viewers...teaching others is a great way to think about things from a slightly different perspective.
