Also regarding your second question: the 6 pooling showmatch against (Alive?) was pretty BM and not worthy any fans praise.
Showmatch is over and done with get over it.
Seems like that 'early gg sort of' is loose justification for your point. I'm pretty sure it was timed correctly

Also regarding your second question: the 6 pooling showmatch against (Alive?) was pretty BM and not worthy any fans praise. The 6-pool match was kind of in response to Alive cheesing hime twice though. If Alive didn't care about giving good games, then why should Idra? In that case, I think it was justified(to some extent. I mean, he still could've tried an all in actually possible to win with, but against good terrans that's kind of impossible most of the time) It was nowhere near justified. A roach/ling/bling attack that DRG uses a lot would've been more along the lines to what Alive was doing in game 1 and 2. A strategy that punishes greedy terrans and has quite a bit of success in actual pro games. Double sixpool was just a big "FU" to his opponent and the showmatch organizers. so you agree that its the perfect IdrA move hes said he wasnt given much in the way of notice so id assume these games were palyed well in advance and hes said he didnt care about the games and if he did do the roach/baneling all-in the end result would ahve been the same IdrA cheesed the game out who cares if he won id rather see him cheese to throw the game then cheese to try and win ...what? No it's not the perfect Idra move, if anything its a manifestation of a larger mental block Idra has: the inability to play in a situation that is somehow unfavorable to him. Down 2-0 to a very good Korean terran, lets throw away the entire series because he doesnt like the maps? The worst thing a Idra fan could do is make excuses for him throwing away the series, because its a perfect example of the attitude that prevents Idra from becoming one of the best players in the world, even when he has what it takes. Its utterly retarded and the fans who eat up his excuses are just a part of the problem. You can think of a excuse for every situation Idra loses in, but wouldn't you rather see him try his best even when the odds are against him? what...? your not making sense, IdrA doesnt like showmatchs, idra especially doesnt like cheese in showmatchs, idra doesnt like being given short notice for showmatch all of the above happened so he threw the showmatch, how is that different then stephano forfieting TWO finals and Naniwas probe rush? Am I somehow condoning Stephanos and Naniwas actions? Did I even mention them? Could you think of a bigger strawman argument even if you tried? im jsut pointing otu that there are quite a few foreigners who decide to just throw games when they dont feel like palying them

idras game seems a a little too roach heavy (less lings) and to slow to have brood/infestor other top zergs have thempretty fast i´ll think.

Being a delusional fan is not good But you don't f.... see tons of pages full of hate in Jinro fanclub even tho he is in a slump for over a year without real results. And yet people don't just feel like go there and bash him but I guess it's okay to flame IdrA, especially since I bet all of you know more about the game than he does and I'm sure you would win all the games he loses.

Where are the Idra flames? I think we have different definitions of the word "flames."

theres not so much flaming going on now but its still depressing to see so mcuh hate in his fan club

Meh, its ok. Im kinda sad, but +1 for beating Supernova... I guess we just have to wait and watch our phoenix (IdrA) slowly grow up to be a big phoenix again before he lights on fire for his next rebirth

Oh you silly mods. I'd love to see more creativity like this in red text <3
On topic, I've got the imprint of my palm on my forehead from reading the past 30 pages of this thread. This is a TL;DR, if you're too lazy:
1) HE NEEDS SOME TIME OFF 2) back to Alive showmatch (again.) 3) More "zomg his career is over" posts.
In fact, this post is the only one worth reading:

IdrA's old problems were that he would not accept cheesy play as appropritate, would get angry, then gg early if something cheesy came his way. He's gotten over that, and he's better than that now. I think his main problem is that he is a macro zerg. He only wants to play macro games, and he is very good at it. Now the issue is the fact that he wants to just jump ahead into the macro game. You can't do that. You need to play like the game will be over in the mid-game if you want to win; especially vs. Protoss where 2 base timings are incredibly lethal. DRG succeeds as a macro Zerg because he plays every part of the game (early/mid/late) flawlessly and respects the danger of losing in each one. (I'd also like to point out that I didn't see the IEM games, so my opinions are based on his results elsewhere. I'm only assuming the same pattern appeared at IEM) It's just another bump in the road to becoming the best foreigner in the scene like he was in BW. Let's fucking go IdrA!!!

Unfortunately this seems to happen quite often as well : /
Hopefully he picks it up really soon. I would be nice to see him succeed.

yes! i'm starting to think i should make an idra fanclub fanclub, since i'm not a fan of idra, but this thread is so full of brilliant nerd gibberish and colorful geek conflicts, i can't help but feel like a fan of his fans. great games today as well - and good job by idra beating supernova. maybe there should be a thread called "idra lost again, lets rage!" or something along those lines, instead of everyone spamming up this fan club? at the very least i think more posters should go to disneyland for rage posting in here... lots of <3s to all of you... ^_^
man you are trolling so hard lol

i dont care about IdrA losing all those matches, at the end of the day he still owned SuperNova.

Idra needs to get back to the EG lair. Get him back to GTLSC2. Keep him out of a few tournaments, let him practice with the boys at home and just talk about the games.
I feel he actually played better when he was not in Korea. I don't know whats going on with Greg but it seems he started slipping when he went back to Korea. Sure the game play might be better but if you aren't in an environment where you are comfortable or happy could it play a big role in his game play. Before if he would go on tilt he would have someone beside him to talk to him, calm him down a bit, joke and have some fun. I'm guessing in Korea with the language barrier he may not have had the support he needed.
Anyways go Idra!! Do what you need to do to make yourself better!!

his first game against Real was jsut like DRGs game against Genius on the same map and that second game was jsut so wierd
then against Feast he did amazing G1, G2 lost to a timing but thats no shame and G3 im not sure what happened i think something had happened to IdrAs head that game and id like to see him talk about it for some reason he overmade roachs i think he thought a completely different build was coming if he had droned more he could have held it looked pretty one sided but stalkers really quick roll out of control so if he ahd a better economy to have mroe raochs he could ahve held and won right there

People need to calm the fuck down. Are you actually trying to psychoanalyze someone who is in a position you have never been in? Who cares what IdrA's mindset is. He is not a bad player. He doesn't have some kind of mental "issue" that prevents him from winning. He is just not playing well at the moment, for whatever reason it may be. Maybe he just hasn't worked out all of the kinks in his play from practicing with SlayerS. Maybe he hates Starcraft 2. Maybe hes a crazy fundamental jihadist who decided to denounce Allah and is now paying the price.
There is no way for you to prove, with complete certainty, that any of those are correct or incorrect. Stop trying to fix someone else's issues that they are trying to fix them self.

poor Idra

Guys. He lost to DT / Phoenix in his first game to a random protoss player. You know idra.. that might have tilted him a LITTLE bit for the rest of the tournament? He will do better in his next tournament.
If he can overcome his anger towards gimmicky players/ games he will be amazing. (for example against mass phoenix /dt he went mutas off a hurt econ.. not a high level decision)
