They all make fun of me and taunt me that he'll always come last in every group stage.

Well, proof positive that it's pretty tough to be the best at something you don't really enjoy? I think Greg is a bright guy and talented, but I wish he would either find it in himself to change how he thinks about SC2, or do something else that he is able to get fulfillment from. It's just so painful to watch this trainwreck.

Damn..... such a disappointing result. IdrA's old problems were that he would not accept cheesy play as appropritate, would get angry, then gg early if something cheesy came his way. He's gotten over that, and he's better than that now. I think his main problem is that he is a macro zerg. He only wants to play macro games, and he is very good at it. Now the issue is the fact that he wants to just jump ahead into the macro game. You can't do that. You need to play like the game will be over in the mid-game if you want to win; especially vs. Protoss where 2 base timings are incredibly lethal. DRG succeeds as a macro Zerg because he plays every part of the game (early/mid/late) flawlessly and respects the danger of losing in each one. (I'd also like to point out that I didn't see the IEM games, so my opinions are based on his results elsewhere. I'm only assuming the same pattern appeared at IEM)
It's just another bump in the road to becoming the best foreigner in the scene like he was in BW. Let's fucking go IdrA!!!

If he keeps putting the work in he will make a come back. He just needs to get some concealing or something. When someone goes into a match with the mind set that it is impossible to win of course they wont. Clearly its an Idra issue and not a MU issue.

I don't know whether it was his mindset or he just had a bad day but this certainly wasn't up to the standards that IdrA sets for himself. It's disappointing that he got outplayed by players who I think he certainly would beat on a good day (although Kas always seems to have his number). Beating SuperNova is a small consolation I guess, but it's clear that IdrA has work to do. Maybe a little R&R might do him good before his next tournament. All I know is he's better than this and screw the haters who just want to bash on him all day because he had one bad tournament.
Either way, looking forward to MLG and hoping he crushes face at that tournament. IdrA fighting!

don't get me wrong, im still a fan, but i'm afraid until idra actually enjoys the game he will never be as good as he was in bw, back than he wanted to win for no other reason than to be the best, now it seems he just doesn't care. i could be totally wrong which would be a good thing though, hope to see things chance after hots
