Another low performance set of results for our foreign zerger. Time for IdrA to admit his level of play right now and try to build something. He'll be back one day.

I'm still feeling more confident about IdrA's strength right now though. He kind of got screwed over by playing a top 3 protoss and an equally good Zerg. I'm optimistic for the future but pretty sad right now -_______- I'm not too optimistic. Idra continues to underperform in every tournament he enters. Hopefully I'm wrong t.t I really didn't feel he underperformed at all in this tourney. Some bad luck caused it so he had to play his weakest matchup against one of the best korean protoss, and he had an extremely close series with him. Then, because of some more bad luck, he wound up facing Nestea. Although Nestea's zerg crown has been given to DRG somewhat, he still probably has the best ZvZ in the world. Losing a build order loss, and another game do to a big risk by Nestea paying off isn't that bad. He must be the unluckiest player in the world. He loses ALL the time. Look at the GSL code S and even code A. Terrible terrible performance. Are your TRYING to get banned? =/

When you're facing the a top 10 Protoss player in the world and a top 5 Zerg, then losing doesn't seem so bad.

Don't get the wrong, he faced some though nuts, but there's a limit to how far I'm willing to stretch.

I'm all for supporting your favorite player and all but when he drops out of the first round with a record of 1-4 something deeper is going on especially considering his record over the past 4 months. I like Idra and he seems like a decent guy, but I just think that he's being surpassed simple as that. Maybe he's reached his limit and other player are just better than him. Hardly. IdrA played BW on an insanely high level which is, arguably, harder than the current level of SC2 play. Most of his losses are from his head, rather than his actual gameplay (like overextending against Oz yesterday). He has all the tools to be up there in the top foreigner-position, but he needs to work on his decision-making. Also, how long was current GSL-finalist Genius in a slump? About 6 months before he came out rolling in this season of the GSL.

About 6 months before he came out rolling in this season of the GSL. That is just crap. The players are not less skilled than brood war pros. Everybody says BW is harder to play because you don´t have to babysit workers/units in general but nobody seems to consider that the SC players are not sitting around doing nothing with the time they gain through that. Of course we have no Flash atm because of Mvps slump but still... Idra lost against great players, I would not say he was doing well, but neither I would say he was doing bad. He did okay.
