I've seen games where he'll counter attack with mutas once the main army moves out, kill all of his opponents probes (and thus be way up in supply) but be unable to kill the main army and lose. If you go mutas you have to expect that youll lose a direct encounter with the main army, which is usually bigger and better upgraded than the zerg army if you're focused just on harassing with mutas. I don't know why he whines when he loses games like that. If you can beat your opponent's army and you went muta you go for the basetrade. As an aside, I'm glad to see the buff to phoenixes and I don't think it's idiotic at all. The mass muta / spine strategy results in very long back and forth games (at the pro level -- which is the level gameplay patches aim to influence). Because of the length of the games Protoss often actually do have an opportunity to put up a fleet beacon and a couple stargates. If the buff to phoenixes means that your mutas are useless if there are 5 or 6 phoenixes out (and they're microed very well, instead of "perfectly"), then that upgrade has the potential to dramatically change the tide of those games and it will probably discourage zerg from sticking too long on tier 2. I'm a zerg player and mass muta + mass bases + spines is a pretty obnoxious strategy IMO. In Blizzard's view they probably don't want the metagame to shift in a way where zergs have little incentive to go to hive. This is also one way to understand the recent nerf to infestors -- as an incentive to go to hive tech. | ||

After 2 seasons without playing you will have to redo the 5 matches, and your MMR gets deleted, I think. | ||

If few people are online f.ex and you end up beating 5 people in bronze, then ofc you will only get like silver. If your first opponent is .ex gold, then plat then triple diamond, then you get diamond. So you can get diamond from placement, I know I have, but again it comes down to your luck on who you get matched up with. | ||
