Loving a player more than the game is actually pretty sad. With MKP, Stephano, Mana and Grubby left this is a great tournament to watch, even for Idra fans.

GL to Idra at RoG, I guess... Assuming he's going, this would be one of his last chances for a revenge vs MC.

Dude, such match ups happen at ever tournament now a days. If he only want to watch Idra that is his decision, and tbh there isnt much left in this tournament for me either, MKP or no MKP. Idra is like 60% of my love for SC2

Well that's up to you, of course. In my opinion if you don't love the game more than any player, then you're a fan of some celebrity and not the actual game. Personally I love how I would ask a friend "Who's playing this weekend?" and he would answer "United vs City, Stephano at ESWC and Naniwa at Blizzcon".

Grubby is constantly improving but this is irrelevant... I'd only like to point out that if you are not a fan of Boxer, Nada, July, Grubby, and Moon, you are not a fan of ESPORTS. + Show Spoiler +
Although Moon should make up his mind really; playing both W3 and SC2 is pretty ridiculous... But I'm being selfish; he doesn't have to switch to SC2 just to make me happy.

Uhm what.

MKP: maek mahreen
Stephano: hahah no thanks
Mana: Couldn't even get out of group stages at IEM NY, not worth it.
Grubby: Team Grubby? C'mon.

Not even close to watchable in my opinion.

And then you have to click 2 times again to find the main tournament. Where's the problem, you would've found that twice in the time you wrote in the Forums.

Sad to see that IdrA is already kicked out of the tournament. Expected him to at least reach the point when he has to play againt MKP.

Uhm, I don't know if you're being sarcastic or not. All of these players are extremely high level, Grubby especially has recently had training in Korea and was arguably the greatest WC3 player of all time (whether you like WC3 or not you can't argue the experience and skill translates over)

If you think "maek mahreen" is the depth of MKP's play, that's completely silly, and an insult to one of the best. And stephano is one of the only really competitive foreigners (alongside IdrA and a few others), not to mention the reason you gave for not finding him "worth watching" was silly.

Anyways, it's sad that IdrA is out I would of liked to see him grab another title, but luckily he proved at IEM and MLG that he is definitely in tip top shape~

Because I already looked for it, and couldnt find it, so I actually spent my time lookin for it, so I dont like that someone comes all condescending telling me that it was 2 clicks. And seriously, it itches me anytime someone believes they are more inteligent or that every other forum user is by definition stupid.

MKP: One of the most accomplished players in Korea;
Stephano: One of the most promising foreigners, who managed to win a major tournament at his third big event ever;
Mana: One of the top foreign Protoss players;
Grubby: A legend.

But yeah, whatever.

Alright let's do this.

I think WC3 is bad, there's a reason DotA was made (because WC3 was bad). You don't see anybody trying to make a WC3 knockoff. So being good at a badgame is... moot. Kind of like Nadagast switching to SC2.

I didn't say it was the depth. But I have literally seen games where MKP will only make marines. And I have seen games where Stephano has literally made on zerglings. I don't want to waste my time watching that. The post was about the "worth" of watching ESWC now that Idra is out, not about how "good" the players are.

That being said, I don't want to watch a competitive foreigner "compete" after losing to Boxer. I'm going to read a book instead. Because that is more worthwhile for me.

...

From the top of my head... Naniwa, Stephano, Mana, Sase, Thorzain, DeMuslim, Nerchio, elfi, Hasuobs, Kiwikaki, Sjow, Check, Tod, Cloud... Yeah, right, being good at a "bad game" is moot.

DotA is an entirely different genre and had absolutely nothing to do with the W3 competitive scene.

P.S. Apparently Polt and Alicia came from the W3 scene as well. Learn something new every day ^^
