Leave Britney alone ..... Just reminds me of that guy on youtube lol.

Greg it is one thing to be BM, don't GG or anything like that. I could care less about petty things like that. But dont freaking quit after one game, your resolve is too weak. People say, he didnt care about this small tourney, then he shouldn't of entered it...
If you decide to do something, DO IT RIGHT, a motto I've attributed any success I've had in the real world, and something that can apply to anything, especially starcraft.

He's considered the foreigner favourite in those tournaments so yeah. They are not the results you expect from idra

Why sarcasm? lol its just a small tournament. That's not the issue here. The issue is his unbelievable lack of professionalism. You think if Federer or Nadal entered a small tennis tournament, and just walked off in the middle of a match, there wouldn't be a shitstorm? or consequences? What about the viewers, fans, and tournament admins & sponsors? Is it ok to just shit on them because it has a small prize pool?

This fanclub thread has really gone downhill the last 100 pages or so. Shame back when he was in Korea at the GSL we didn't have all this crap

Dont mean to sound a dick, but you clearly weren't that hardcore a fan if it took 1 forfeit in the semis of a small prize pooled online tornament for you to jump ship, he clearly uses these to gauge how he is doing skill wise, and felt he wasnt where he should be thats it, its not him tilting, or him BM'ing its just that, a practice tornament

Maybe him wanting out is a combination of several recent things Idra has done.
If Idra didn't feel that he's where he should be at he could just play out the following games like a regular ladder match, but he didn't. He quit instead.

Spot on!! Wise words indeed.

I think it is unfair to call me an "Idra hater" as I really dont hate him. Or even dislike him. I think he is fairly good and I am really excited for him to do well in Korea. However, he cant just do stuff like forfeit matches and say (in my opinion) quite inappropriate things in chat to his opponents and get away with it. Just because he is a good player and a great personalty doesn't mean he doesn't have to be held responsible.

You mean you will completely give up on the fanclub thread? Somehow this makes me sad...

If you have to defend your posts in a fanclub thread you're doing it wrong. Thanks for the tips about success though random people on the internet.
And thanks for the games IdrA, not sure whether to hope for it being an emergency or not, but hope it worked out.

-.- IdrA's been playing through the Open's bracket for like 5-6 hours. I would not have to suspend disbelief to believe that in 6 hours, he had an obligation to attend to, or unavoidable matters come up. If it was anyone else... there would not be bashing. Maybe because of his history do people begin to think that its fear of losing, or rage or what not. Why however, should that be everyone's first concern?
If you are going to hate, be in a LR thread. Don't need to seek a fanclub to start a fight.

Wow are you delusional. So it's just coincidence that Idra forfeit immediately after quitting the first game, obviously upset? With any player that did this without an explanation (as in this case), most people would not defend and respect the player for forfeiting in the semis.

Everyone else in the semi finals had played through the open bracket for 5-6 hours as well. Everyone knows that it takes a long time to play your way through these kinds of tournaments, if you don't have the time you don't sign up.
And if it was anybody else there would be the same reaction because it is an unbelievably unprofessional thing to do. You basically say 'Fuck you.' to viewers, organizers and all other players in the tournament. And no it's not as big as an MLG or IEM, but it still pretty much the biggest weekly online tournament there is. There were a good number of people watching. Many other players who would have loved idras spot in the semi finals. And probably many, many hours of work put in by organizers. idra just decided to more or less flip them off.
And no, I'm not an idra hater. I find few things as exciting as watching idra play when he plays his best. But this sort of stuff should not be tolerated by anyone who wants to call themselves a professional.
