If the ranks are determined by select few people, they are fucking retard. If the ranks are decided by the public, then clearly there is something wrong with your average korean.
kesha never released the song, she recorded it for the producers before she was famous ... sm entertainment got the rights to it, please google before your say things that are not true.
I already know that kesha never released the song. Obviously the song was never released by Kesha because it wasn't worth the time. That being said, a song that wasn't worth being released becoming 18th on K-chart is downright pathetic imo. I mean wouldn't kesha release the song if it had been profitable?
Edit: actually there is no point arguing about this so i'll stop. Weighing in all the goods and bads that happend, 2010 overall has got to be the shittiest year for kpop( and for my life). Glad that this nightmare will soon end. Just gotta pray that 2011 will be decent.
Can i ask why are you posting in this thread? if you think kpop is so bad?
Like i said, there is a good side to kpop. But kpop is dominated by those bad things that maybe little by itself but just builds up like tumbling snowball. The good things are what keeps me interested in kpop. About 3 years ago in 2007~2008, kpop was like the best thing to happen in this world for mainstream music, everything to like about, nothing to hate about. But now...

Actually, what changed kpop radically during 2007 is the debut of the three major girl groups today: Wondergirls, Kara and SNSD. For me, It is good as they were the ones who led hallyu to where it is now, but the major setback is it started raining idols. The number of Idol groups increased, but the number of talented koreans almost did not, so rookie groups had almost all of their members use autotunes. The competition got harder because of these new idol groups, so the rate of releasing songs sped up. Before artists tend to release albums once a year, but now, they release multiple albums in a year, some of which are minis, and even repackage EACH of their albums. Because of that, producers produces music faster(making the songs similar to others), Song writers writes songs faster(e.g. yayaya), artists' preparation and practice time got shorter(easier choreography and lip singing) thus making low quality music. Also, not only noob idols lack talent but also the noob staff/non-artist personnel from music companies as they hire a lot of them in need of some more manpower. It is simply the Kpop make or break domino effect.
Edit: Just like what Hyaach said, the last 10 pages looked like 1 vs 100 with you, our nice friend ace, as the "1", not because they are defending snsd, but because you always derail the topic with all your hate everytime you see the word(or acronym) snsd in this thread and tell us how sones defend their idols in a very childish way, unlike kamilia + Show Spoiler +
who does the same thing based from YOUR actions
Sir, Please feel free to post your love here, whether it is for kara or for any other group/solo artist, but also please, as much as possible, have second thoughts if posting your hate is worth posting, have some sense and if it contributes to the discussion. Thank you. Peace P.S. Idra BMs because he is good at both sc1/2 and he is baller, thus gaining him the right to BM.

I think that'd change eventually though, either 1 of 3 ways. 1. The number of idol groups just collapses the market entirely, the korean music scene shifts from that to solo artists/rock bands, much like America did. 2. Record companies are faced with a large number of poorly performing solo artists, realize that they should focus on 2-5 key "brands", and scale back dramatically. 3. The market stays the same way it does now; promoting a lot of groups at once allows companies to find the one or two popular ones that are going to maintain some level of success- your SNSDs and 2pms but also smaller yet semi-succesful groups like Sistar/2NE1 etc., a lot of groups debut but only the ones who find success within a year or so continue to be promoted. IMO the second is more likely. It would probably take a few years, in which it will look as it does now/3rd scenario but I think eventually Koreans/everyone in general are going to realize what is happening, find 1 or 2 groups that they like, and stick to those...if the tons of debuting groups cease to sell well, then record labels will have no reason to keep debuting so many.
everyone knows i'm a snsd fan. and i know this is the kpop thread where 'discussion' live.
but for the last fucking time, can ace stop raining shit on any snsd parade in this thread? read back, since he started posting ~10 pages ago, he has been doing nothing except shitting on everything snsd related. i think snsd is more of a problem to you than the abuse of autotune. Apparently to you, snsd is the whole of kpop. Its like the the final boss you need to kill in games so everything will magically revert to normal.
If you don't like it, feel free to comment or in your case shit on it. But once or twice is enough, we get it, you hate snsd, not your cup of tea then why not hop over to the IU discussion that has also been going on for the past 10 pages. Better yet, you can help Craton search for alternative music for the clueless.
on another note, gotta get my hands on these calenders. months will fly by

I don't understand this at all. Their given reason doesn't even warrant such a huge decision. I really don't understand koreans. YG has nothing to gain from not participating, this could only be a minus on their behalf.
I'm sorry but i can't pass up this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to boast. rookie awards can only be received or contended for once by an artist so i'm gonna make the most of this by rubbing it in to the sones: http://www.allkpop.com/2010/12/kara-dubbed-japans-1-rookie-artist-for-2010 Unlike korea, japan obviously gives credit where its due. Suck on it sones. You lose. gg

We know. It was brought up 2 days ago and is the reason for most of the snsd/kara arguing in the last few pages.

No, that one was about Kara beating snsd in album sales. This one is about the rookie award that both kara and snsd were competing for. This news also came up today on allkpop.
Edit: Oh im really sorry. It seems you had a bad day. Well I'll make it up to you by saying that snsd is a really good idol group and they show good promise in the kpop scene (and no thats not sarcasm, TL rules say you gotta make people happy, i think).

Dude. Thanks a lot. After I clicked the link, I found this http://www.allkpop.com/2010/12/jay-park-dumbfoundead-participate-in-huge-collaboration-remix-for-deciphers-catch-me-if-you-can which is something I shouldn't miss but I did because I go to this thread a lot more than akp. I don't really like Jay Park but anything with DFD tends to be awesome Edit: Just finished listening. Its pretty relieving that jay park did not sound the worst. He's actually better under AoM doing stuff with knocksteady instead of JYP. Aside from the swears, some of the lyrics are pretty good, speaks about mainstream and haters.

god you new posters. ever read the news article or just the title?
release 8 singles 1 album 1 dvd to rank first. that's basically what we were going on about for the past few pages
I'm not nearly as perturbed over this as you guys like to think. + Show Spoiler +
I wont oppose a comic being drawn of the sort, however.
To get this thread back on track: MC Mong's draft dodging case is getting even more amusing
The third trial date for MC Mong’s draft dodging case was held on December 20th.
The celebrity posted the following message on his personal homepage following day three of his trial:
“I will wait for the next trial. I can’t breathe, but I request that you wait for me.”
What happened during this particular day in court?
The evidence is in MC Mong’s favor…sort of.
The five dentists he visited, who extracted his teeth, were witnesses on the 20th. They explained that his teeth were in bad condition and had to be pulled. One dentist explained that the reason they did not have any records of his bills/consultations fees was….because he was MC Mong! They admitted they did not charge him consultation fees because he was a celebrity.
What about the bills(or files stating he had his teeth pulled at their office)?
“We had just installed a new electronic register so there was a moment of confusion…”
What about their previous allegations(that he had them removed to dodge his military service)?
“The police investigations were held in a pressuring and forceful environment. They led us to reply in the manner they wanted.”
This case is certainly getting interesting. Who would intentionally pulled out their teeth to dodge the military? It’s very hard to believe. I choose to believe MC Mong….removing teeth just seems too painful!

Hope he makes it through. His got too much talent it would be a waste for him to go to jail. This reminds me of one of the 2pm's taecyeon announcing that he is relinquishing his American residence to join the korean army. Note i said residence, not citizenship. He always only had one citizenship (korean), so how does his American residence affect him in anyway regarding mandatory army service? (sorry to get off-topic but i'm really curious)
@NicksonReyes "Idra BMs because he is good at both sc1/2 and he is baller, thus gaining him the right to BM"
Its fags like you that tolerate the rich people in our society getting more privilege than the middle and lower class because they are "better".
It's hard to say how it'll turn out not knowing how Korea's legal system works. It does seem like a number of the dentists are changing their stories for whatever reason, but it's all still pretty sketchy.
