Nagging and Good girl bad girl defintely deserve where they are. Miss A very good for rookies. ^this 18. Run Devil Run - Girls' Generation < 99% exact cheap copy of kesha's song Oh! - Girls' Generation < just plain slutty If the ranks are determined by select few people, they are fucking retard. If the ranks are decided by the public, then clearly there is something wrong with your average korean. kesha never released the song, she recorded it for the producers before she was famous ... sm entertainment got the rights to it, please google before your say things that are not true. I already know that kesha never released the song. Obviously the song was never released by Kesha because it wasn't worth the time. That being said, a song that wasn't worth being released becoming 18th on K-chart is downright pathetic imo. I mean wouldn't kesha release the song if it had been profitable? Edit: actually there is no point arguing about this so i'll stop. Weighing in all the goods and bads that happend, 2010 overall has got to be the shittiest year for kpop( and for my life). Glad that this nightmare will soon end. Just gotta pray that 2011 will be decent.
Can i ask why are you posting in this thread? if you think kpop is so bad?

Like i said, there is a good side to kpop. But kpop is dominated by those bad things that maybe little by itself but just builds up like tumbling snowball. The good things are what keeps me interested in kpop. About 3 years ago in 2007~2008, kpop was like the best thing to happen in this world for mainstream music, everything to like about, nothing to hate about. But now...

i will admit, however, that the abuse of autotune has tainted 09/10

2007 the days when sg wannabe dominated the charts -.- and ballad artists were still successful

To be precise, snsd releasing Tell me you wish (whatever that date is) was the day i realised kpop had lost its way.

Sowoneul malhaebwa! Such a good song. The nostalgia effect was already mentioned. And it's pretty typical. How often do you hear people complaining that things (a forum, music, or just life) aren't the "same as they used to be"?

Autotune is revolutionary cause now anyone can sing.

Can't wait until the autotune thing is over. Not just for kpop but for american music as well...jesus. It sucks because legit singers are using it because it's popular when it'd sound 100000x better without autotune.

Do you have anything to back this up? From what I understand, this was actually just a plausible explanation offered in "defense" of SNSD (not that it was needed -- a purchased song is a purchased song regardless of its quality). Last I was informed (and MP3 ID3 tags that I've seen confirm this), Kesha included the song on a demo tape to her record label, but the song was rejected from her debut album and was consequently shopped around to potential buyers by the producers. It was only after they found a potential buyer that she rerecorded the same song as a guide song for the purchasers, who were eventually revealed to be SM Entertainment on behalf of SNSD.

SM bought the rights to use that song (once again) from some company in kazakstan or whatever ( the country has the suffix -stan, maybe uzbekiststan). Just goes to show that they would stoop so low just for profits.

I heard the same thing, but does it matter? the point is that they bought the song from some songwriter for SNSD to use. I don't see why it's that big of a deal...it's not like most kpop groups write their songs or anything.

anyway i seriously wish that SM would stop using such tracks for their artists; they deserve far better songs than oh/RdR/Lucifer/Bonamama/HurricaneVenus...
the only consolation is that they aren't as crazily autotuned as *cough*YG's*cough*. but still, autotune. ugh.

I will never understand why "high high"'s chorus is completely autotuned and stupid when GD and Top have both written and composed much better things before, and are capable of doing much more than that.
