The quality in question is not the topics, but the quality of the posts in this thread. Talking about your favorite kpop idol is fine, but that doesn't mean you're suddenly given free reign to post like an idiot or start stupid arguments or flamewars over differing opinions about who is "godtier" or not. Disagreeing as to what is good or bad music is fine, but there is a right and wrong way to go about it. Like a song and want to share it? Go ahead and link it. Don't like a song that someone says is the best song ever? Go ahead and share your opinion in a non-insulting/flaming manner, while giving some actual reasoning behind it. Feel like gushing about a particular kpop idol and want to share some GIFs or Youtube clips? Go ahead, but try to say something in addition to simply linking things and try to avoid stupid statements like "any person who doesn't think ____ is the most beautiful creature in the world is a goddamn idiot". Don't have anything constructive or worthwhile to contribute? Shut your trap. While kpop can be a pretty stupid, inane, immature and silly topic to discuss, the actual discussion itself doesn't have to be crap. There's no reason that the typical rules about being reasonable, respecting others (when they're being reasonable), and actually contributing something to the discussion shouldn't apply to this thread. Expecting members to adhere to TL levels of quality in the posts is not changing the nature of the discussion, and doesn't prevent people from talking about even the silly, stupid parts of Kpop. Just don't be an idiot. | ||
