I mean, it's only one performance, and it wasn't even that bad.
it was also one performance with park hyo shin and we all know how that went
See, the difference between the one with Park Hyo Shin and yesterday's was that one was in Korean, and the other one was in English. There's always going to be some leeway given to the one sung in English. Plus, she sounded better covering Kelly Clarkson than dueting with PHS.

Think of the fans, not yourself.
respect is give and take. If the pd actually acted professional, non of these would have happen at all. For a thing as simple as a re-go which is so common in korean music show because of their view of "perfect performance".
i can literally see a few of the people in these thread willing to jump on the bashwagon if this incident did not came up and taeyeon just let it go as a off key performance

Okay, so the PD was unprofessional. But the problem is no one sees the PD, and probably no one knows who the PD is. But everyone knows Kim Taeyeon. So you didn't get a chance to sound the best on stage. So what? Shrug off the mishap and just continue on forwards. No one's ever perfect. Rainbow members have slipped and fell numerous times on stage, HSY fell down as well, Jessica's cracked numerous times. Everyone makes mistakes on stage. Some things are just uncontrollable. But things you can control include making an effort to sing and looking like you really enjoy it.
People could care less if she sings off key. Sure, there will be haters who go, "Haha, she can't sing", but there will always be fans to back her up. But if she can't even make an attempt to sing or actually look like she cares, then not even fans can back her up on that. It's about making an attempt to go out there and make the fans happy. Not many fans can be happy with her half-assed attempt at Oh yesterday.
im one of those that didnt like her perf during oh!. its terrible ._.
in her defense like i've said before im sure she knows that she has to be professional during perfs and etc, thus i believe that there MUST be something really suckish that happened that ticked her off so bad that she acted like she couldnt be bothered during oh.
you know, everyone has their limits and she just hit hers (?)
There's those who didnt mind that performance that much, those slightly annoyed and the overly angered. As much as the performance sucked ass, and everyone seem to be either defending or bashing taeyeon. Why can't we look past her shitty expression and actually look at what caused it.? Is it enough is enough or has the most popular girl group leader grown arrogant while she was on vacation? But since non of us know or care enough, let's continue arguing back and forth on how she should have been professional and how the pd was a dick

That's why I think there's more to it than what we know. There's gotta be something seriously wrong if she comes out saying things like that and then trying to ruin her group's performance on purpose. I'm really hoping she was just having a bad day and some idiot annoyed her and she thought what the hell and etc, but even that is a stretch. They wouldn't have gotten to where they are now if they let stuff like this affect their performances, and they've done quite a number of them and I can't recall things like that happening. I mean, you really think it's the first time Taeyeon is frustrated with some PDs, managers, cameramen, makeup artists, stylists, whatever? Get real dude. And that makes me wonder what's the real reason for her behavior.

Sure somethings are uncontrollable, but you can always re-do everything before it airs on T.V. (which I believe was the case here) I understand situations on live settings but seriously, if something like that happens it should be a given to restart.
I think fans would be more happy that shes independent and can stand up for what she believes in. Quite honestly this shit [probably] happens a lot and I'm pretty sure every artist wants to stick their head out the window and be heard by everybody that this is not how it's suppose to be, but nobody has the balls to. Shes a singer, no... not just a singer a Korean singer. You don't have a choice but to care about your image, the slightest mistake will get you bashed endlessly by many. Nothing is going to change if you don't say anything.
She's not helping out her image by not singing during Oh and giving an IU like performance on one of the biggest music shows aired on national TV.
Her effort level was non existent, and it definitely looked as if she didn't wanna be there. At an SF/SC Proleague Finals, you can sorta get away with it because she's only there as an extra, people aren't there to watch you, but SF/SC. But on KBS Music Bank, everyone's there to watch you perform. When you don't perform, that looks like complete shit. Don't give me a halfassed attempt. I've seen injured singers perform on stage and even attempt dance moves better than she did last night.

I understand why you say she isn't helping her image, but tbh in this case she is. When was the last artist you've seen stick up for themselves?
How lame would it be if the United States didn't boycott tea? Shit like this happens so people will realize what the fuck is going on. Why do you think people in 2PM's fan group and DBSK's fan group boycott? The whole controversy over this is based on what she said anyway not how she performed.
Could have been simply re-recorded to avoid any of this (which would've been granted on normal days, why not here?).
At the end of the day, she's the one who threw a hissy fit because she couldn't re-record a live. What's there to boycott? Boycott Music Bank because she didn't get what she wanted? We're not talking something big like contract rights (DBSK), but we're talking about a re-record. If you can't handle that as one of the biggest idols in Korea, then I don't know what else to say.
Plus, we're talking about a re-record here. For a solo or a duet, I can understand re-recording to get it right. But the whole thing consisted of numerous people on stage. Maybe the lighting, the shots would be different and not as good. Maybe Yonghwa messes up the next time around. There are a lot of things to take into consideration when re-recording a live. Just because one person wasn't completely satisfied doesn't mean she can have her way with everything. I personally didn't think it was all that bad to be honest.
There's no way this is helping her image. That was a pathetic performance, and you know it. To see everyone else in SNSD giving it their all, and then to see Kim Taeyeon not really giving a fuck is just disheartening not only because she's the leader, but because everyone else looks to her for moral support. What kind of a message is this supposed to portray to everyone else? Unless there's more evidence to suggest that there was additional fire between the two parties, criticizing the MB PDs over such a trivial thing is just pathetic. Voicing your opinions is okay, but when you deface MB on national television in front of all those viewers is just disgraceful. Handle things behind the scenes. Letting emotions get the best of you is not how you're supposed to act as an idol.

man i dont understand. she should of sucked it up and performed as usual. there's a level of professionalism that singers should hold. if she wanted to express her disdain for mubank PD, then most of use are fine when she called them out during her speech. but to give a "fuck this" mentality while she was performing is pretty messed up, esp. when people perform sick/injured before :/
this is comign from a HUGE taengoo fan too. and seriously i dont even know wut part was the problem in the kelly clarkson perf

you couldn't tell when her earpiece cut out just before the high note, right at the climax of the song? seems pretty obvious to me
