I'm still around from those days and T-ara is still my fav group Probably the only one who got T-ara as #1 in here now though... It's just they got murdered by the media and the netizens so hard they kinda fell off the Korean market a bit.
They are doing great things in China though and making more bank than ever so I'm happy in a way. Just a bit harder to follow what they are doing etc and less comebacks since they are over there releasing Chinese songs and CF's.

SNSD have almost fallen complete off my map. Damn I used to love their earlier songs and their Japanese stuff was great. Now I can barely sit through a new MV because they are so uninteresting to me. It's like whatever quality they release, it will still all kill and what not. Their fanbase is just so enormous and 95% of the fanbase is annoying as fuck to have to deal with I just can't be bothered.

I always felt like when T-ara calls it quits I will probably stop as well, it was kinda overwhelming for a while with so many groups debuting every year, it was impossible to learn names even. Though I don't feel like that anymore, you just gotta have the passion you had back then and be willing to learn and discover new things.

Just focus on the groups that you really like.Try to find the hidden gems that are currently stuck in some labels basement once they manages to escape and release something. I think the best advice is that you don't have to like and watch everything that gets released. I remember back then I used to go on my youtube subscription feed and find like 80 new shit uploaded. Man I can't deal with that every day so I just unsubbed from stuff I didn't really care about. And there is no longer 10 new pages whenever I check KMD so that makes it a bit easier as well.

Kpop and especially Kmd are different beasts than 3+ years ago. It took nearly 5 years of Snsd not releasing a decent track for the sones to chill out, t-ara dont release enough to be discussed daily and a bunch of other groups are doing ok now.

A lot of the more fervent posters got banned or moved on, as you suggested. A shame because this thread was hilarious back then.

I haven't really kept up with kpop over the last 3 years or so but I occasionally check in to see whats up. I remember when like SNSD and T-ara were the most discussed groups in this thread. In fact it was so overwhelmingly biased that it got annoying. I dont know when it changed but that is definitely no longer the case. Is it cause people got tired of them and just grew to like newer groups, or did all those posters just move on. I get the feeling most kpop fans are very fickle, they get bored and move on to the next girl/group. Or it could be that people just grow out of the kpop phase at some point, like when you look on AKP for example how is it EXO is so big. The two main male groups I always thought of was Big Bang and Super Junior and suju definitely isnt that popular today. Other once like Shinee, 2PM, 2AM, Beast I dont even think ive heard anything about them for a couple of years. So did all there fans move on to new groups like EXO or did there fans get bored of kpop and move on, and the new fans are all the young people that entered puberty, discovered and got attached to the newer groups like EXO. I have a feeling that is the cycle of kpop. Someone's SNSD Seolhyun from 5 years is someone elses AOA's Seolhyun today. And so on...
