To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
  • Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
  • When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
  • No reposting of old material unless justified
  • Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
  • No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
  • Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
  • No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
  • No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
  • Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

Yeah, doing it after would make it appear as if the album/song is there to build hype for the music video which doesn't really make sense.

The new revised MOA MV is just bad, in the stupid sense.

Why didn't they cut out the cameras that keep appearing in the MV?! Isn't that basic? Here's the MV in question.

so which kpop girl do you guys think has the best fancams? its mostly nana and jaekyung for me. aside from that famous chocolat tia bra strap fancam w/c is a given.

i think sooyoung would have great fancams but odly enough it seems she lacks any really good ones.

Best in what way? Hottest/most attractive girl is really subjective. Are you talking best fancams taken, like best cameramen, or like best stage presence and live performance? Or like the ones that interact with the cameras the best?

Kings back with new song for their Repackage. Reminds me abit of old SJ which is awesome. Also, back-up dancers more sexy choreography than most girl groups these days.

Yes it is nice that the Kings finally get some hot backup dancers.

This Changmin solo track on the repackage is supersuper sexy too

Definitely a good break from the 2ne1 and SNSD fast song trains. Sometimes the rap feels off for me (especially at the start), but otherwise the song is a solid effort. A peppy ballad is great in these times, but IMO it's weaker than Love Options.

Has anyone here gone and seen this or even heard of it?
For someone in Korea, I was wondering how is the general reception or popularity?

Am I right in saying that the korean language lacks "hard" sounds? I enjoy listening to kpop (over other music) when I don't understand much of the lyrics, i'm sure there's a good reason for it but I can't put my finger on it.

They do have hard sounds, but some of the sounds like ㅂ= b/p, ㄷ= d/t ㄱ= g/k are neither the soft, nor the hard, it's somewhere in the middle most of the time. ㅋ= K, ㅌ = T, ㅍ= P are often used for the hard sound equivalent.

im not sure what you mean by hard sounds, but by my definition korea definitely has hard sounds. i dont think its possible to properly explain why korean sounds pleasant to people ears unless youre a linguist though. for example i find japanese very pleasant to listen to as well, but cant stand chinese or any other east/south east asian language

For what I know, the Japanese and Korean language is in the same language group, distinct from Chinese and other Asian languages. I also find Japanese pleasant to listen to, but most J-pop songs don't really draw my attention.

The way I've heard it Japanese and Korean aren't really in any language group per se, but share the most similarities with each other. Not enough of a linguist to really know why they aren't classified as being in the same language group but there you are I guess

It's a bit difficult to explain..but long story short both Korean and Japanese are heavily influenced by the Chinese language and more importantly their writing system and that's all you really need to know. If I remember right, Japan developed their system from Korea which developed theirs from China, don't quote me on that though. I find it interesting why Korean and Japanese are not tonal languages though like Chinese is, but I suppose that removes one barrier to learning Korean and Japanese.

But fuck this is a great week. New T-ara, TVXQ, and BESTie songs which are all pretty good. I don't know if anyone else feels the same but I've never really disliked any song that T-ara has produced.

No I mean I know that much but Korean/Japanese are not in the same language group as Chinese (nor with each other apparently?) and it's that difference I don't understand. The similarities to Chinese/each other are obvious.
