To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
Hi guys. I'm in Korea for a business trip, and was looking to buy a book to learn Korean this weekend.
In a damn nice coincidence, the bookstore I was in had a Rainbow fansigning that was due to start. They had a table set up for them, surrounded by big signs describing the event. They kicked everyone out of the seating area who didn't have a ticket for the event (including me), but I hung around behind it, and saw them in person! First kpop group I've seen, and I wasn't even expecting it. No pictures can be posted now, as my company laptop doesn't allow me to transfer data over USB.
Gonna start doing monthly jps invites >> if you don't already have 1 from the millions ive given away PM me with email, no first time posters and must keep a decent ratio
hey guys, are any of you currently in seoul and would like to hang out / show me around?^^ iam completely lost and have no idea what to do (especially nightlife-wise). pm me ~

Go Hongdae on a Friday/Sat night, some decent clubs there. Just follow the crowd cause the main street with clubs is kinda hard to find (for me anyway ;o) can't go wrong there. They also have these traditional clubs there if you wanna pick up some Korean girls. That's if you can speak Korean. I went to one and well.. LOL.
Oh btw, I'll do what lokiM is doing but with Asiatorrent invites. Got some Moderator there uploading a lot of dramafever torrents in all sorts of HD quality (basically any KDrama) plus heaps of Kpop albums etc. Though if you want music jpopsuki is probably better. AT is more for videos etc. But please only PM me for one if you really need an account and missed out on open reg + if you're a reg/decent poster.

Aren't there quite a few nice Korean girls in Australia though? I always saw quite a few when I was there a month ago.
EDIT:
To stay on topic, how many of you actually have succeeded in getting other friends into k-pop? I don't actively try to get others into it but pretty much everyone who knows me knows I like k-pop. One of my friends got into it after I showed him an A Pink video lol. He ended up watching all their MVs and started looking for other perfs that night.
And now he's a pretty big Girl's Day and Rainbow fan lol.
It's pretty awesome to have somebody to talk to about k-pop outside of the internet.
I find G.Na's voice somewhat annoying.. Dunno why thought it's like she is almost talking instead of singing and from the little I managed to watch her performance it looked like all the backup dancers looked better than her.

They actually cap the MINI concerts at like 50 people or something, but it's no biggie for the Japanese fans because they're actually having mini concerts there almost once every month. It's actually a pretty cool way of promoting there, unlike what most do, make a cringe-worthy translation of a song and disappear for months.

I agree on gna's voice. Either I really like the songs or I hate them because her voice just sounds bad in the song. I think its that thing she does where she tries to put vibrato in her voice and just ends up sounding bad. The only recent song I've liked from her is beautiful day.
Just heard this and I actually like soyu's voice better than baek ji young's voice for this song.

she's straining to hit notes, so that's pretty debatable. decidedly average for an idol imo.
