To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
  • Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
  • When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
  • No reposting of old material unless justified
  • Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
  • No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
  • Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
  • No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
  • No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
  • Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

Apparently CNBlue has gotten permission to actually perform live with their instruments on the music shows. That's pretty cool.

Quoting your own post, that's cute

CN Blue's new song is really good. But they are always good, so no surprise there.

hai guys i really lik the new SNSD song it's really catchy...
ok no. But seriously I do like it

I really hope CN Blue do a lot more this year. All I remember from last year is Hey You, and that was near the start of the year as well. Kidol bands have a small niche in the industry, and I think CN fills it so well. I can think of a couple others like Led Apple, FT Island (are they a band? they seem like it) and these guys + Show Spoiler +
....seriously who the heck are they? were they famous or something? Pretty funny because even though I don't know much about them, it's probably my fav band song ever -_-

And do you call yourself gay, or just an admiring fan, when you see Jaejoong's teaser and think he looks really good? Those sort of mysteriously and gloomily styled MV's (like yoseob's caffine) are fucking amazing to watch when you are alone in your room past midnight. Anyone else have MV's similar to those?

When I think of dark and gloomy in the world of Kpop, I always remember the "Pray" MV from Sunny Hill. That is pretty gloomy if you ask me. Also, the song is just completely amazing, especially the melodies.

k definitely too much to handle post midnight, but thanks anyway Love the song though

I'm just so excited for Jaejoongs song though because it's a rock/gloomy mix, instead of these mellow/gloomy song/MV combination we see all the time. CANT WAIT

EDIT: @Murdco I thought they were popular...but then I wondered why they died off all of a sudden? Did they go to the military, or were they just past their prime? Regardless, It's pretty cool and funny at the same time to hear SM pioneered rock idol bands

No min woo left the band in 06 and the bassist also left a year later, FT Island released cheerful sensibility that year and it was really successful. They still continued the project as a duo, they were relevant, still are but they weren't as big as FT or CNBlue are.
The duo is serving in the military right now, started service in the middle of 2012

I'm actually scared for them. Especially since this rarely happens, hopefully they actually got some good soundstage guys. Setting up audio for live instruments is REALLY difficult (at least really difficult to pull off well).

Damn, i'm soooooooo psyched for 2yoon, love that backtrack in the teasers.

I'm scared that using instruments rarely happens. For foreigners looking at live entertainment in the Kpop industry, that is a tad embarrassing...

I view it as a necessary step to shift live performances in the right direction. Another step was that audio screw up in that music show I forgot the name of a while back, where the audience (while they probably knew already) experienced the horrendous live voices many idols wield

lets get it together Kpop!!

Well if you're watching an idol show it's not like there are many instruments anyway.

And again this is only for weekly idol music shows. Other music programs do use live instruments AFAIK

Of course, but I would hope that expecting bands to play themselves would be the standard of the industry, instead of the other way around.

Well, remember these are bands that are part of the kpop industry, not really independent rock music we're use to in the states. And considering how audio is usually set up, for most pop music performances, I can understand if they don't want to spend the extra time and money to set up for actual musical live performances.

Yeah I guess it's just a music show thing to make it easier for the performers. They would probably (i hope) play their own instruments at their own concerts etc.
