I feel concerned. Distressed at the fact that she's like everyone else and ages and that someday she'll be old. Scared to be confronted to that future. It reminds me that time moves forward. It's actually quite easy when you go about your day to day life to forget about time. How many years have it been since I started checking for KARA news and content everyday ? 4 years... 4 years that she's been part of my day-to-day life. Looking back at pictures of Nicole from 2007-2008, I realize that time has indeed moved since then, it did not stop in 08, like it kind of did for me, in my personal life. IU had been my bias when nagging came out. I'm crazy and thought that I could really connect to the music she had put out up to that point, and her voice was the sweetest fucking thing to ever grace my ears. But as time went on and she had to appeal to a larger and larger audience, she started to seem less like the girl next door and more and more like an idol. I understand her development and really can't fault her for it, but of course the intimate feeling that used to come from her songs just isn't there anymore. It's still good music, I'm simply longing for the direction she could have taken. I guess I'm kinda jealous of all of you that still genuinely enjoy her music. | ||
