Ah. What is their "style" though? I'm genuinely curious. I'm sadly not musically gifted at all, so sometimes finding patterns/beats/styles are very hard for me. I mean, to me their songs keep changing. What is the common style in the past year of promotions for them (Roly Poly -> Cry Cry -> Lovey Dovey -> Day By Day)?

They've been going downhill since Lovey Dovey. I want to say Cry Cry was a decent song but I don't think it was anywhere near the quality of Absolute First with the exception of the choreo (choreo was actually their best ever). I'll hold my criticism on the new song until I've heard the whole song but it does sound like another generic pop song and nothing like the potential of a good T-ara song. I can't imagine Dani doing this song and not completely fuck up their whole image though. If T-ara seems dead now, it'll be even worse when Dani joins.

I don't really care if they're officially dead or not with this comeback because we'll be having a Secret, Rainbow, and Epik High comeback soon and at least one of those is bound to be good.

I'll give you Epik High just for being apples and oranges, but secret and rainbow are tiers below T-ara, and I like both of them. T-ara have been consistently awesome since they debuted.

I was really starting to warm to Hwayoung but let's be honest here, if Soyeon, Hyomin, Eunjung and Jiyeon are still there the rest are just backup dancers and T-ara will still be the best kpop has to offer. Dani or no.

Epik High is wayyyy too fucking talented to come out bad. And Secret may be lacking in popularity compared to t-ara, but that's only because they don't release dance singles, which honestly I'm perfectly happy about.

ive been following day by day sales post t-ara drama and it pretty much had zero effect on sales, some weeks (post drama) day by day even gained a few spots on the chart.

prolly won't be too surprising if sexy loves sells a ton, i really dug what i heard and it sounds fun as hell.

Tbh, I think it had a positive effect on sales. I bought alot of T-ara things this trip because I was pretty sure they would breakdown. But apparently the warship is still going strong with one engine down. For better or for worse, we'll get to see soon enough.

Barbie girl image equates to a "Mean Girls" image to me. In other words, they come off as bitches. Why would you want to enforce that image of them. Iirc, Hwayoung's rapping coach even went as far as to call them something along the lines of pretty, airhead bitches or something like that.

Don't you think a better image for them from a PR standpoint would more of the girl next door or something to humanize them and get some sympathy?

I don't have that same connotation and t-ara is a sexy dance group. Having them do something cutesy would be off, like having 2ne1 pull an orange caramel or some shit. Reading anything into the song is a mistake, especially cause their comeback was scheduled before their drama.
