To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
  • Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
  • When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
  • No reposting of old material unless justified
  • Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
  • No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
  • Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
  • No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
  • No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
  • Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

Probably not a whole lot outside Korea. As far as I can tell TL KMD is a fairly unique community, as we've been brought together because of a shared interest in Starcraft and are predominantly male adults, rather than being fans of a specific group like fan cafes and such. This leads to a community much more open to new groups, so long as they are young, female and attractive.

We certainly aren't the only fans though, they have an unofficial (afaik) international fan club.

Fairly unique as in deranged fanboys that rank Crayon pop looks tiers above KARA. Feel like I'm in a twilight zone. I was indifferent about Crayon before, but now i hate them with a passion! I hope they never gain popularity in Korea!

And actually, most of the Crayon fanboying has come from new people in the thread. Vast majority of the old KMD posters are either indifferent, crotchety, or against.

Stork is becoming the anti-popular sentiment in KMD. Hates Crayon Pop, thinks KARA is the best group ever, etc.

Vast majority don't post anymore. And I've been here since late 2010 and like CP for whatever that's worth. That plus the couple other older posters here should indicate to you that your statement isn't true at all.

I like a select few Sistar songs, not all of them but just when I'm losing interest they seem to come out with another good song. The bodies are a big appeal but honestly they're kinda canceled out by the faces, the music is a bigger draw to me than anything else really.

edit- @alot it may be just me but I haven't really liked most of AS's songs. That plus a lot of forgettable members kind of kills them for me. Sistar only has 4 members and there's something to like about all of them, plus I like their songs a lot more.

Sistar's biggest draw is that they're talented and hot. The music really has never been anything special. Enjoyable, but nothing that I listen to on repeat. Honestly if they didn't have sexy music videos, I probably wouldn't pay attention to them as much.

I think from a vocal perspective, most if not all the members have potential to do much much better, but the songs never really stuck with me.

I agree on the whole vocal part, wish they had some more diversity in song choices, some ballads would probably be a good showcase of their singing power~

Sistar will never do ballads, because you can't choreograph body rolls and ass bends to a ballad.

Because After School have really hot women while Sistar is only about the bodies.

I think it has to do w/ # of members, Sistar only has 4, easy to remember and keep up with. After School's twice the size.

I'd also say average hotness, Sistar outclasses Afterschool by a lot.
I never understood the hate on the faces of Sistar members. Though I agree it's different than the standard kpop idol face, I don't see the major detraction everyone keeps saying (the biggest on is soyu looking like hero, that one ruined soyu for me~)

Not the same thing. Just because they don't like the thread anymore doesn't mean they don't like Crayon Pop. Being indifferent to the thread isn't the same as being indifferent to everything.

Well T-ara's marketing plan is to roll out so many songs that the law of probability will eventually side with them.

I'm still mostly a fan because of Absolute First, although I haven't really hated any T-ara promo song ever, Yayaya was meh. Day by Day was meh.

But I guess it does have something going for them. Similar to my Sistar thing above me, if you don't like a few promo cycles it's only a few weeks until the next one.

Does this one-liner really require a separate post? Couldn't you have edited it into the one post 2 things above your post? And it's not even a sentiment you haven't shared before, we all know you hate Crayon Pop.

Also this thread has gotten to the point where I have to refresh it before I post to make sure I haven't missed anything while I was typing.

I wouldn't expect Tuelite to stand idly by as someone shits all over Nicole in this thread.

At least TuElite would come up with great write ups and pictures to entertain us all while he defends the group, and he would probably make a lot of people change their mind (at least he did for me shortly after Nicole's long hair debut). I'm pretty sure it happened in the past and I don't think it lasted more than 1 or 2 pages.

I actually like it when people call out other people's bia's.. it can lead to some great posts. I really enjoyed when HaXX said Younha > IU because it gave me and him an opportunity to do some really fun posting. I guess its what direction you decide to go in with flamewars but whatever.

Basically what the guy above me said.

Edit: I would like to clarify that i do not support, endorse, or appreciate HaXX's aforementioned statement.
