To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

I hope the day comes where Jooyeon gets some love So underrated it makes me sad just thinking about it. Constantly being forced to dance in the background and very few lines if any at all. Ahh T_T
That day will never come. She was added purely because she was an ulzzang, has no musical ability. Did you ever watch that playgirlz school show?

Yes I did, can't remember if I watched every episode though but she is no worse than anyone else in the group so I will keep hoping Have to say it's kind of a weird thing to say that she has no musical ability... They debuted in 2009, if she had none when they started(which I don't think is true) she have certainly developed her skills since then. I hear nothing wrong with her vocals. + Show Spoiler +
They do like their bossa nova, jazz and such, but it's a nice comfy mix of lots of styles. I would be reposting if I put up examples, but you should definitely check out both albums if you like this, and friendznet youtube channel.

There are people that don't like Jooyeon?
Look to your sins, Vorgrim. For the night is dark and full of terrors.

And Rainbow going all in on the qtpie concept? I can live with that if they replace the shirt lift move with a skirt lift..
DSP seems to subscribe to the "teaser pics have nothing to do with concept" school of promotion. I remember they had similar flowery pics for another comeback or something and it turned out to be standard rainbow fare.
stop labeling khiphop anywhere on par with regular hiphop and nujabes is not a 'hip-hop act', he was known for his beats that heavily drew upon jazz/acid jazz roots & samples.

welp brb time to dig this out.
ah found it. Hipster is a term co-opted for use as a meaningless pejorative in order to vaguely call someone else's authenticity into question and, by extension, claim authenticity for yourself. It serves no conversational function and imparts no information, save for indicating the opinions and preferences of the speaker. Meanwhile, a market myth has sprung up around the term, as well as a cultural bogeyman consisting of elusive white 20-somethings who wear certain clothes (but no one will agree on what), listen to certain music (no one can agree on this either), and act a certain way (you're probably sensed the pattern on your own). Suffice it to say, no one self-identifies as a hipster; the term is always applied to an Other, to separate the au-thentic Us from the inauthentic, ironic, Them. You can't define what that kind of behavior or fashion or lifestyle actually is, nor will you ever be able to. That's because you don't use hipster to describe an actual group of people, but to describe a fictional stereotype that is an outlet for literally anything that annoys you. The twist, of course, is that if it weren't for your own insecurities, nothing that a hipster could do or wear would ever affect you emotionally. But you are insecure about your own authenticity - "Do I wear what I wear because I want to? Do I listen to my music because I truly like it? I'm certainly not like those filthy hipsters!"- so you project those feelings onto others. + Show Spoiler +
lol "hipster."
tl;dr, andy is the only hipster on KMD
Don't think anyone posted this video here, don't remember. Its cute though.

This post hurts my head, not because of what you've written, nor because you took your time to write this in such a well spoken and build up way in the kmd thread, but because you seem to have missed the point so badly, even though you've shown that you know the definition of 'hipster' with a whole text trying to convey the definition and the seeming idiocy the usage of the word itself.
"F'ck all the gangnam hipsters, 오빤 홍대스타일!" was written in a comical way, but I have to admit though, considering some factors such as a lack of feeling for humour, being tired, not knowing me, etc.,plus we're using a text based medium, this forum, that it might not be so clear wether I was being serious or not, even though there was such a big contradiction in the post.
But now that I think about your post, although I could mostly agree on your points, even though it was seemingly brought in a objective way, the way of writing and the general feeling of the text was rather subjective and negative and the last part was just horrible.

Keep dreaming. That's the kind of assumptions that the average psychologist or your high school teacher would make. The concept of self-reflection has been used so much in so many wrong ways. It's not an all-explaining concept. Even though self-reflection and insecurity can be a factor of importance in the usage of the word 'hipster' or anything really, it's all contextual.
Btw, you used the word 'ironic' wrong. That's not irony... THIS IS IRONY!!!
you wrote a wall of text for something I mindlessly dug up in a minute and copy pasted simply because I thought it was ironic someone called himself a hipster.
If one were dressing like a hipster before it was cool, are they a meta-hipster?
Also, To The Beautiful You trailer #4.
Sulli has a shower scene. ._.
As a big Hana Kimi fan, I hope this lives up to the hype. Though it seems everyone is trying to make remakes of other dramas. I heard that SM was also trying to get the rights to High School Musical, so I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a kpop version.
