To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
  • Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
  • When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
  • No reposting of old material unless justified
  • Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
  • No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
  • Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
  • No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
  • No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
  • Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)

Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.

But it doesn't convey a degree of terribleness, it just indicates that a grave was pooped.

Makes no sense.

I think he meant "its grave was defecated upon". Which is a form of desecration anyway.

Hot dayum that body.

They have sort of the same skin tone I think(?) but I don't think they look that alike.

So I'm pretty new to the Kpop world, but how do these concerts work out exactly? they seem to happen very often, like once a day or every other day. Similar to concert tours done by bands? or what?

You mean the music shows?
Mnet M!Countdown (90 minutes) - Thursday 6:00 PM KST
KBS Music Bank (80 minutes) - Friday 6:05 PM KST
MBC Music Core (65 minutes) - Saturday 4:10 PM KST
SBS Inkigayo (70 minutes) - Sunday 3:50 PM KST

These are the major ones. They are weekly, not similar to concerts at all. After a group releases a song it will usually promote on most of these shows for a month or two or three.

I think you can watch them live here: http://www.kpopstreams.blogspot.com/p/stream-1.html
or nanashin's stream, I don't know I haven't watched them live in a while. They get uploaded to youtube pretty quickly after. Watching live gives a different feeling though, so be sure to at least try it!

the audience for most groups isn't big enough to tour, and since you can get to Seoul within a couple hours from anywhere in Korea there's really no point.

That's the life of an idol haha. They don't really tour that often. Concerts for a specific band will happen at most like 3 times a year or something, I'm pulling that number out of my ass just to explain to you how they don't happen very often compared to say, American bands. In addition to this, a lot of idols act and stuff, and they have to go to practices, fanmeets, promotions, etc. Apparently they only get a few hours of sleep each night, especially during times like this when they're performing.

I never thought I'd say this, but B2ST might be my favorite group atm. Their new mini album is just so fun, and going back and listening to their older stuff again I've realized that I really like everything they've released.

Just to add it's not uncommon for a group to take years before having a solo concert. Some groups will never get popular
enough to do it at all.

@monocle- I actually didn't like the new album at all, even though Fiction is one of my favorite male band albums and I liked their previous stuff as well.
