- When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
- No reposting of old material unless justified
- Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
- No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
- Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
- No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
- No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
- Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up. |

I've had a deal with one my classmates for a while that as soon as one of us manages to get ahold of some jinro (which isn't sold in Sweden, hence the problem), the two of us are gonna have an all-night marathon of Paradise in Phuket along with it.

Same applies to Starcraft and other games. It's nice to discuss stuff online w/ people, but it's completely different being able to talk to RL friends about stuff.
Plus, it's fine if your friends aren't in to KMD, but at least try to expose them to it, so they can't just be an ignorant prejudicial asshole about it.

Yeah I thought the same as well when I first saw it then I started wondering why she was the tiger and I remembered she was dressed as some sort of tiger during a part of KARASIA.

As far as BoA is concerned, I'm just not a huge fan of the whole hip-hop girl image.

I carefully inserted some kpop songs I thought could work into a playlist with a lot of western pop songs that people hear when they go out to see what the effects were. To the people who said to play up the girls are hot angle, I've tried that before with friends in non party settings. That didn't work for me. Tie 'em to a chair and force them to watch bubble pop on repeat for a few hours, I'm sure that'd have some sort of effect That's what happened to me. I like bubble pop a lot now. nah, the most basic "intro to kpop" song would definitely be gee, seems to have the best effect. Gee is THE freaking gateway drug. Although if your friends are coming from a more electronic background, Electric Shock wouldn't be a bad place to start. A lot of K-Pop has some interesting sounds that may get some time getting used to, though. I don't know if your friends can handle the broken English, because some of mine can't. I actually introduced one of my friends to kpop through Electric shock. It wasn't on purpose but surprisingly good reception. I personally still cringe inside at Krystal's "laser" line even though I love the song. Taking a tally of successful intro songs I've used we have Gee (4.5) + Show Spoiler + The half on Gee and Lovey Dovey is the same person, I actually showed him Gee but he came back a day later playing Lovey Dovey on loop for like 5 hours straight.
Lovey Dovey (1.5) Electric Shock (1) Cry Cry (1) Interesting to note that Gee/Lovey were all males and the other 2 were females. (Both of these girls had seen Gee before to no effect). Although I'm convinced that the actual factor that gets you into kpop is having a bias. Obviously you can't have a bias without an introduction first but without a bias, it seems to stagnate at a handful (2-6) of songs. Once you have a bias though, you pretty much snowball yourself into kpop madness. Here are the songs I have tried using with multiple friends at different venues and on the playlist. Surprisingly, people don’t like it when you try to sandwich in T-ara’s “Like the first time” with Usher’s”Scream” and David Guetta’s “Titanium”. Who knew? Wonder Girls • Like Money • Stop! • SuperBMiss A • Love Alone -Got the worse reaction =( T-ara • Like the first time2NE1 • I love youSNSD • Gee • Genie • Boys Hyuna • Bubble Pop The bold are the songs I tried at the party. The SNSD songs I avoided from that party because of the reactions I received from friends when I tried playing it in front of them. “What is this? Kids Bop?” I cringe whenever I get that reaction! Same reason why I have avoided playing a song like Lovey Dovey around any of my friends. I agree with the bias theory. I didn't start to snowball untill I had my Sunny bias. After that it was all downhill. Once I had all the SNSD songs I wanted, I started to expand out to the other groups.
first of all you are at a party playing david guetta like dance tracks so why in gods green earth would you play those songs? let alone play kpop songs period. what the fuck.
now if you are really intent on shoving kpop down peoples throats at parties you need electro dance songs not songs fit for a 12 year old female slumber party (yeh yeh i know you said you didn't play snsd etc for this reason but you get the point).
gdtop - high high (100% success, true story; never tried myself though i dont play kpop songs at parties fyi) se7en - digital bounce, better together (might work, probably not) crispicrunch - thumbs up (this track goes hard in the parties tbh) 2ne1 - i am the best big bang - fantastic baby, seungri - what can i do, strong baby (grack grack) tasha - get it in Supreme Team - Dang Dang Dang boa - energetic 1tym - hot (gotta go old school on em)
make sure your friends are drunk or high though. always works.

The BoA MV is kinda weird to me because the choreo seems to not be in sync with the song. The song is kinda mellow yet the dancing is almost over the top.

This past weekend I even tried slipping in kpop tracks into a playlist at a party. This was met with "wtf is that garbage", "this shit sucks, change it". My question being for KMD, what do your RL friends think of kpop and have any of you had success getting people to listen to it? If you answered yes, then how did you do it? I'm looking for a video of a song sung by a girl (and a guy makes an appearance for a couple of lines). It starts off with a guy giving a fat "WADDUP" and then all I remember is the music video: the girl is just walking about, and text would come up as she passed things. Like, she would walk past some flowers and "white flowers" would appear in text. Same kind of stuff for "blue wall" and so on. And when she sat down on the lawn, a big ass wall of text with the dictionary definition of 'lawn' came up.
Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Wow, I thought I taught unichan how to seduce guys.
#1 Look cute, wear tons of makeup, the contact lens that changes eye color and makes ur eye look bigger. + Show Spoiler +plastic surgery. HEY! It's all about that end result. No1 cares/will find out #2 Go show them interest(smile, eye contact, laughing at their shitty jokes) and touch them often #3 Show them some aegyo sometimes. #4 Give them your number #5 Tell them you like them #6 Get them to buy you dinner and stuff, but all you give them is kiss on cheek. Every time they make a move, avoid it and tell them how religious you are. #7 Get them to buy you more stuff, show interest a lot, puppy touch but no real stuff. Do more #2/#3, but obviously that faggot gets nothing, u don't give them anything, but kisses on that cheek(Not the buttcheek). #7 Do this with more than one guy. Profit! #8 Break up with the dude, and then he writes a blog about you on TL 5 years later, and he claims that you ruined his life, and after 5 years he's ready to move on from living in his mother's basement. And how he's so depressed, etc, etc.
