I carefully inserted some kpop songs I thought could work into a playlist with a lot of western pop songs that people hear when they go out to see what the effects were. To the people who said to play up the girls are hot angle, I've tried that before with friends in non party settings. That didn't work for me. The best way to get them to enjoy the music itself would probably be something along the lines of what Sc2zero7 said. Let them listen to some stuff without their being a lot of emphasis on the music. At a party music is one of the most important things, while if you're gaming/chilling or whatever you could just have some music on in the background. This way they might get used to the 'weird' elements kpop has which allows them to enjoy the catchiness etc without thinking 'wtf is this shit?' For me this has worked to some extent. One of my friends seems pretty cool with me putting on some kpop when we're gaming/hanging out. I doubt that he will ever start checking it out himself but he often can't resist the catchiness. ![]() On July 24 2012 00:37 Nyorx wrote: + Show Spoiler + http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZbO4H5LEU0 New girl group called 'TAHITI'. I think it's the upbeat and happy vibe of the song, just feels "fun" compared to a lot of other types of (at least western) pop music. That and the legs. THE LEGS. Although if your friends are coming from a more electronic background, Electric Shock wouldn't be a bad place to start. A lot of K-Pop has some interesting sounds that may get some time getting used to, though. I don't know if your friends can handle the broken English, because some of mine can't. @TuElite: Since when was HSY referred to as Ham?

You just don't understand! ^^ Talk to me baby, I'm gullible edit: the fuck is that charles? o.O Well see, you need one Kpop bias to be your total bias, your fantasy girl. This is the girl you write creepily-detailed posts about but never put up (unless you're certain people in this thread), and the one who is on your background for your computer and phone. Even if you don't think you have one, you have one. But you definitely need a bias for each group, even if you don't really feel that strongly about it. Why is this necessary? Well first, so you have a focal point to look at during performances. If you don't have a bias, when all the girls are up there dancing, you'll get all dizzy and confused trying to watch all of them at once. Not only does this make the experience less enjoyable, it's also a danger to your health. Secondly, you need one for internet arguments. "But Req! I like all of them, and I don't get into arguments on the internet!" Fuck you yes you do. And when they day comes that people are talking about a group you like, and suddenly discussions of the girls come up, you need a bias so you feel morally superior to everyone else and find people that you know are bro-tier for having the same taste as you. Otherwise, who are you? An indecisive person on the internet, and that's just messed up. Have some backbone. Pick a bias. For God and Country.

For God and Country. attaboy ^^ <3 Just wanted to squeeze it out of you, but honestly I feel generally the same way, Nicole being my general #1, Younha quickly becoming a contender, and then smth like Yuri, Eunjung, Minah and whatknot for other groups. As far as the somewhat smaller groups I do not believe it's necessary though. I don't feel obliged to pick a fav amongst groups like Miss A, A Pink, Hello Venus and so on. (and for some reason not WG, but that's an exception) We're yet to see how successful Crayon Pop is going to be, so it's not yet clear whether I will find a need for a specific bias amongst one of them, but they're certainly off to a good start. Gonna need some more time to get to know the members and see if they can keep the quality at the same level first though. Otherwise I agree, it's probably mostly an e-peen thingy. Edit: I wouldn't say I have a single girl plastered all over my computer though, I've got a fairly balanced amount of wallpapers from various sources. (I do have Nicole on my cell phone though)
