To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
Okay! Finally starting to get my SM Town rehearsal videos up on youtube. Taking forever to upload these but I figure I ought to post a couple that are up. So here are the 2 exo performances.
Now these were my first fancams so don't be too harsh on me. Also at first I was just holding my camera with my thumb and index finger but eventually I end up resting the camera on my wrist so that gets a lot better at some point and allows me to optimize zoom more.
f(x) cams are way better imo and the last of those are just finishing with their upload and will be done in like 30-45 minutes I think. Will post them once they go up.
Posting these here because I decided to hold off on my blog for a while and just wanted these online finally.
Oh yeah and disclaimer: You never once hear my voice so don't think that you do, I never made a noise while my camera was on
TVXQ! I just think all of their songs are so well written and performed. But can anyone help me understand their history a bit? it is really confusing. From what i understand, 3 members left because their contract was too long?
Cause SM sucks, yeah. Something about money, also their contract was 12 years or something like that, which is ridiculous.
Now SM are being dicks and preventing them from appearing on broadcast TV using their pull.
All the information I've seen about this suggests that greed on JYJ's part was the cause of the break up. And obviously SM, as well as everyone else in the industry are going to prevent them from appearing, it could cause serious damage to the way agencies work nowadays.
If a group can break away from their agency and still be fully operational, it's likely others will follow.
This is highly subjective, but I think working for SM is probably one of the best options you have as an idol.
I don't want to go too deep into this, simply because I lack the knowledge and time but if you really want to learn more I suggest reading trough this, http://oniontaker.com/tagged/jyj and judge for yourself.
I fail to see how, worst contracts out of any agency, also onion is both not very credible and a sm fanboy.
Sm pays you the least money and forces you to stay the longest. Sure they have the most pull but you're not necessarily going to benefit.
I also fail to see how jyjs greed was at fault when the courts have agreed that their contracts and treatment was unethical, and that sm also has to stop cockblocking them.
To suggest that anyone other than sm and maybe the rest of the big 3 care about preventing jyj from performing is ridiculous, especially if you're a tv station like kbs or whatever because you know a jyj appearance will boost ratings like no other performer could.
Edit- reading 3 of those onion posts just confirmed that he doesn't know what he's talking about. Contradicting facts and actual credible sources, sounds like an idiot.
Actually lol'd at the ignorance. But kewl.
Who said greed was at fault? It was the main motivator, that's the issue here. It's no fault to want the best for yourself, it's simply that JYJ overestimated the support they would have, or rather underestimated the hostility they would face, once they took legal action to break the contract instead of dealing with it in-house.
Almost any group could take their company to court and technically win in legal terms. Whether the industry will accept them back is another issue altogether.
With the eye of the government on them from as early as 2008 (as a market leader in a growing prestige export industry), SM have had to change their ways a lot internally. To say that they are worse than DSP, CCM and many smaller agencies that are completely unregulated is just silly. I've seen musicians contracts with income splits as bad as 182 and that's just the ones I know about.
And about KBS, they're not just any other TV station. It's the closest thing to state-owned major media that Korea has. Idiot? lol.
Man KMD is so popular and hip, we get people like onionbro and Korean fan photographers posting here, oh and Moonbro is uber efamous too of course. We are the true face of kpop, worldwide.
Anyway, time for my f(x) cams. You'll probably notice that I slowly start focusing more on Krystal throughout the videos, it wasn't until a couple days ago when I realized she is only 17... ;_; Oh well
Only other song at the rehearsal was Sherlock and I didn't record that despite being closer than ever to the artist because I would have had to stand up and I wasn't sure if the person that was near me would kick me out or not.
Also I barely payed attention to my camera during the performances so I'm not always on point but I am sure you'll live.

Yes! I like in the night sky too. Just heard it somewhere, thought it was really good, and got it. Only song of theirs that I actually have, but it appears I chose well lol

From what I've seen since the early 1000 pages or so, the flow of this thread is mainly dictated by just a few people.. Saying "we are the true face of kpop worldwide" sounds quite pretentious if I may say so myself.
