However it most likely was about money since they were quite possibly still getting slave money at that time and they were starting to blow up in Japan so might have realized they're true worth and wanted a new and better contract. Hara has like 6 months to accept the contract... If Hara leaves = more camera time and lines for Nicole. If group breaks-up = Nicole solo + HSY goes to acting or something. Both case are a win for me in my opinion. I don't think her singing is good enough to be a solo artist (which isn't something to be ashamed of as 95% of girls in kpop groups wouldn't make it solo) You sleeping bro. Nicole next Madonna.

Actually I think T-ara's popularity is higher than WG's on a GLOBAL scale (Korea + foreign countries like Japan) which is what the chart was referring to. T-ARA did promote for a while in Japan and they're pretty well known there while WG hasn't even stepped into Japan, only the US (where they got very little popularity). However, I think KARA is way ahead in terms of popularity than T-ARA because of their huge presence in both Japan and Korea.

@Sharky- doubt it, girls got a lot of flak for appearing greedy. Also, there are far better ways to get publicity than halting group promotions for several days (and possibly longer, since the girls agreed to continue working even though their contracts were in dispute). @Kipsate- more specifically all Asian countries- since WG has been in 'Murica it makes sense that their popularity is lower there. Also, 5 year contracts are standard. It's only SM and maybe JYP with the longer 10-12 year ones- and even with JYP that's unsure. There were rumors that 2pm/oneday's contracts were 12 years even though publicly they claimed they were 5, but no one is sure.

Anyway thats a pretty poor slave contract you got there DSP, thats what, only a 5 year contract? Hyuna is a very good dancer and she has good stage presence, even though her singing sucks she still x10 better than Hara. Hara will go no where as solo.

Aug 31 is their UMJ contract end date - Korean contract is until 2014. So yeah somewhat of an unfounded rumor it seems like. http://news.naver.com/main/read.nhn?mode=LSD&mid=shm&sid1=106&oid=018&aid=0002563351 http://star.mk.co.kr/new/view.php?mc=ST&no=118650&year=2012 On February 22 2012 11:10 Kipsate wrote: Nicole isn't popular enough to make it solo Meh, I like to believe she could. Maybe if they build her up just a little more, a little more time and I'm sure she could. Especially in Japan where she's one of the most popular member along with Hara. (This year she was rated at the very top of a chart for upcoming new adult entertainers*). She definitely have the skills. But yeah I would agree that in Korea she might not be popular enough for it to be a possibility right now. Not sure tho. Oh and I would buy 9000 copies of the album or whatever anyways so I got this. *lol "adult entertainer" I don't know how to word it but it's a ranking for entertainers that are soon to turn 21 of age or just turned 20 not sure.
