Every country produces all kinds of music, so yes I'm quite sure that there is some good metal made in Korea. However, I'm not into metal and can't guide you to it, but if you dig enough, I'm sure you'll find something. CN Blue is definitely not what you're looking for tho.

Wat im gettin at is dat there r ppl who just as hard and end up only wit mediocrity. wat bout those who failed the idol audition? Wat bout those ppl wit actual singin talent? Wat bout those who wanted to bcome singers but their parents force them to study? even if i believed them, there r far more things in life dat r worse and would actually deserve sympathy This was a travesty of the English language.

Possibly the most widely known Indie-song in Korea is Americano by 10cm, and few other songs. Their album is pretty good too. My brother has the EP and their first album, and I like it a lot. Definitely worth the money compared to those "generic" K-Pop artists.

Compared to the underground scene, those two groups (both movement crew) are pretty much 'mainstream' hiphop you can get these days. Not one of those Big Bang "wannabe" hiphop.

IIRC, there was this post by roffles (maybe not roffles), about how we (most ppl) love poor, hard working and something something idols so that might just be a selling point and not real. Ive been thinking about this too and im pretty sure thats the case aswell. I mean everytime you see an idol on a variety show going shopping or whatnot, they start complaining about something costing $100 is expensive, i really really dont see anyone of the top idols actually thinking that is alot :E Until there is some real facts about this im going to assume that they earn much much much more than anyone in here is ever going to earn.

Anyways, I don't really think idols make that much money, for a lot of reasons I don't care to explain. Also, designers often lend their expensive products to idols to wear for publicity - not just idols actually, this is true for all celebrities. Just because you see someone wearing something expensive doesn't mean that they bought it. They have to work pretty fucking hard, harder than any of us do. If you have time to go on teamliquid, you probably work less hard than an idol.

There are some koreans that produce non-kpop music but most of them aren't really seen in music shows, unless you air guitar like CNblue + Show Spoiler +
