If it was just for best singer you are excluding all rappers/rapping, meaning something like Sistar19 shouldn't even be nominated because their 'group' performance only includes only one person singing, and Bora rapping. | ||

They don't write their own lyrics, which I consider to be a major facet of rapping, and the actual delivery isn't anything above average either. Compare that to the voices of those two groups and there's no way in my mind that they should win that award. I could see performance or dance or some bullshit like that, but they are nowhere close to the best vocal group. double edit- the example you brought up is I am the best vs Lonely vs Don't Cry. From autotune to singing to something in between. Breaking it down- autotune=no talent required, I could autotune a song as well as 2ne1. Singing- above average for an average/dance idol group, but we can all agree not close to a dedicated ballad group. Don't Cry- again, better than average for the category but not as good as other songs of the same type, and not really exceptional. So really, yes 2ne1 has different musical "styles", but quantity isn't greater than quality and they aren't exceptional at any of them. yayaya Jiyeons, for Japan version.
