Song Ji eun too I heard, but unsure, furthermore along the way(Trainees) JYP lost Hyomin, GNA (who went to CCM and Cube respectivly), Hyunah went to cube aswell. But cube and JYP were the same labels or something like that(Parent companies?), I am not sure about that, so thats not too bad if they go to Cube.

I want to go for JYP because I think they are based off more 50% looks and 50% talent compared to SM where I think my prioritize looks more and YG where they absolutely require strong vocal talent.

Doesn't SM also do Stateside auditions? Also, I can understand why Goo Hara got rejected...hot as she is, she danced in her audition, and she can't really dance either.

I don't think I'm bad looking I suppose but I am inspired by Nichkhun from 2PM who is Thai and debuted in 2PM when he was 18 which is my age right now. There's a Toronto audition for JYP in beginning of June, should check it out if you live within a reasonable distance. There's 4 categories: dancer, singer, model, acting. Live audition is probably a higher chance than online audition. GL HF

I think if you're gunning big 3 you probably should just accept whoever will take you; the competition is just that tight and there's no guarantee that you'll be able to stay in the program. YG is notorious for taking like 4 people per go-round/year, then canning all of them when they're not good enough, etc. It's training program is tiny compared to others, something like no more than 5 teams at a time, and currently I think it's only like 2. edit- @link and as far as I know they'll just decide what to do with you anyway, like Yoo In Na was training as a singer but became an actress.

Yeah he's probably gonna go through depression if he hopes too much through the online audition. SM JYP and I think YG also all do yearly auditions and for SM you can just go on saturdays any week if you live in LA And I thought Goo Hara made through the auditions IU said that goo hara was after her when she went to jyp and said that she searched online and found out goo hara passed

I read that Taecyon from 2PM auditioned for modelling and I think he passed. The judges suggested that he be a dancer and so he trained and became 2PM member. Notice how he doesn't sing much (if at all?)

Notice how he doesn't sing much (if at all?) 2AM and 2PM were originally part of the same group(dunno their proposed name) I don't know why it didn't go through but they basically put all the vocals (Jo kwon, Jinsoon, Seulong etc) in 2AM and all the uh dancers/models in 2pm and made them a ,yeah well they don't really sing or anything, not impressive vocals either way but it is not needed. 2AM is basically a balad/vocal group and 2pm is like a dance/more generic pop group.

I know for a fact that you don't have to be Korean due to many Kpop groups having at least 1 Chinese member or so. Although I have heard that rania was suppose to have 1 member of African descent but that idea got cut. Anyway I think my best bet for JYP is vocals or maybe acting. I'm just going to practice as hard as I can before I enter. I'll post here/upload my cover on youtube once I'm ready ^^

If so what is it? Online doesn't carry a lot of weight. People that often do online auditions have shitty cameras, shitty microphones, and even shittier talent. Fair amount of people sound "good" on youtube, 3% of them actually have the ability to project their vocals. If you're going to get past online, you have to be very, very good looking. If you ever feel like you have done well, then your threshold for perfection will inevitably be a fair distance below the bar set by producers. And you should not have just one song, a musician, especially a vocalist, needs to have a substantial repertoire they can pull from at any given time. If you want any hopes of getting past trainee, you better be willing and able to set your prep-time to at least fourteen hours per day on your own. The pace they set for you should be a throttle down from your personal pace.

Only reason I'm doing one cover is to sound as good as possible in order to make an impression. Also I did forget to mention that my teacher does have singing classes that I attend and she does know about this so I guess that she would be a good judge since she has recorded albums before and was a professional singer.
