To ensure this thread won't be closed, you must adhere to several a number of simple rules;
Please use spoilers when quoting a post with pictures and/or videos.
When posting large quantities of media (pictures or videos), please begin spoilering after the first piece. Grouping related videos in the same spoilers & labeling is recommended.
No reposting of old material unless justified
Posting any material with little or no relevent discussion accompanying it
No passion-induced flaming of each other because 'x said y sucked' etc.
Keep the expression hate of music individuals/groups to a minimal level
No 'pagetopping' in any form whatsoever, as it constitutes spam equal to posts similar to 'first'.
No vulgar fan fics or wet dream stories. It is creepy, weird, and it dehumanizes the people who you are here to celebrate/discuss.
Normal posting standards that you find throughout the rest of the site still apply and will be enforced more strictly from here forward (2012/03/11)
Due to the poor nature of this thread in the past, temporary two-day bans will occur more than often if people slip up.
I only listened to very few K Pop songs as a kid. After my friend showing Girls Generation as a tease/joke, I found myself rather nostalgic and went on a hunt for my old favourites. I'm not sure how big BoA was in Korea, but I'm going to assume huge and thus this is probably a repeat (I tried searching for her, but I don't how to do that in a topic).
What I enjoy the most is her ability to sing Japanese, Korean and [somewhat] English. Her range or singing ability is phenomenal to me (I'm not too familiar with Korean singers to be quite honest, maybe my standards are low), but there's something about her music that keeps me energetic and going back every now and then.
What I don't get is that her early albums were less... I don't know, hip-hop/pop? They were just overall feel-good songs. Then she transitioned into something equally awesome, yet I always felt out of place. Maybe someone can explain.

Edit: OMG hahaha! That was just a photo shoot. Not a Q&A session! Loool much ado bout nothing... Noone had mics to respond and a reporter just randomly shouted the question... Wat did they expect? That Yuri would shout the answer back?!?! drama DRAMA DRAMA Epic troll by AKP! + Show Spoiler +
-_- Can anyone tell me where the video from this has been taken from? A CF? + Show Spoiler +
We srsly need another english kpop site. Allkpop is a fucking joke.
Loool Ace! Of all the people to whiteknight for SNSD never thought it'd be you... Thanks for that video. Also, I think they handled themselves very graciously after that. Imba Professionalism. It takes a very savvy collective head to not actively court controversy by involving themselves in the Kara shitstorm.
An AKP members view (from AKP comments): "well done, SNSD. I'm glad they kept quiet, you are not KARA and their split isn't your business, so you ave no business answering such questions, especially when whatever you say could become controversial. and reporters should be asking about you, not KARA."

My words are of the truth and nothing but the truth (i.e no bias). If sones are people of intelligence and integrity, then i would definitely give them credit for that, but thats obviously not true, so i don't.

Industry representatives revealed on February 23rd that U-KISS‘ Alexander and Kim Kibum disclosed that they would be leaving the group. As such, the two will not participate in U-KISS’ comeback album.
Alexander was reported to have discussed the issue at length with his agency, and eventually decided to leave for personal reasons; it’s also said that Alexander wanted to pursue his studies.
Kim Kibum will be leaving in order to focus on his character company with his older brother, SS501’s Kim Hyung Joon. Some fans felt that their premonition had come true when they read Kim Kibum’s earlier tweet, which said, “This March, I have news you might not like. But when the time comes, I will tell it like it is.” source
Probably leaving after they realized they were getting paid worse than Mcdonalds employees.

Awww, Alexander was my second favorite member too ;_; It's a shame since they've finally gotten some recognition too. I'm just happy I managed to go to their fansignings three times and meet the boys before they left. GL to both of them in the future and to the other U-kiss boys. They gave me some happy memories here :D

There's just something about that girl's voice I don't like. She's not a bad singer by any means, but there's something about it that just doesn't fit the song.
I feel like it would fit a Kesha song or something much better. I'm just imagining a certain attitude that goes with the voice, and it doesn't match IU very well.
Does anyone that can phrase it better get what I'm saying?
The singers are quite good in the Good Day cover (technique, range) but their voice quality doesn't suit the song... The girl's voice sounds too strong and a bit rebellious, she should cover some avril's songs (?)... IU's voice is dreamy and sweet which is perfect for the song
