I'm biased as hell, but damn - screw Yehsung and SHINee. (SHINee without Jonghyun is pretty lame.) I can't stop listening to this - the Man Man Ha Ni hook has got me good and proper,

I don't even care about the auto-tune and Eli/Xander's horrendous rapping. I just want them to get the attention they've deserved since they debuted. They're potentially one of the most interesting groups around (between them they speak English, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese and a couple more languages for a start.) They just need less fail management and more showcasing of Soohyun's power vocals.

I personally don't feel like she has to be over enthusiastic and extremely happy to be awesome. She's so talented it's a shame she can't be famous without having to exciting and dance and cutesy. Her song MIA is where she should be, but she didn't get really popular until boo.

Did you see her last performances at eSports events? I was sitting literally 10 foot away from her taking photos at IEF and she looked bored out of her mind/totally not wanting to be there. It sucks for her if she really hates to perform live, but it is her job after all. If she wants to be popular then she has to put in the effort. Or just quit her management company and find one which is more willing to promote her in the way she wants.

I watched the IEF performance and I didn't feel that way at all about her. In fact, I actually liked her performance. Given the acoustics of the venue, I was impressed with how well she sounded. I mean, I love SNSD, but I don't feel their performance sounded nearly as great as IU's. I think IU just made a conscious effort to make the acoustics work.

After your comment I went back to watch the performance and I can see how you'd feel that way, but I still don't agree that she was bored or mad at her management company. I thought she gave a solid performance. It wasn't her best, but I don't feel anything similar to what you're saying.

Fair enough. I'm just glad I didn't waste frames on her. It just wasn't worth it.

I saw the difference, I'm just not making it out to be an indication of dissatisfaction. It's not like I didn't notice she didn't have that twinkle in her eye she usually has. I just felt like it wasn't due to lack of enthusiasm or disappointment at performing at IEF. I was just saying that I liked her performance, I thought she sang well. At the end of the day, I'd much rather have a singer sing well than dance and smile but sound terrible.

In fact, it's a big reason why I'm disappointed with so many american artists today. They can cut amazing records, but if they have to perform live they sound terrible.
