Still, unless I'm totally misunderstanding the word.

Nobody watched the movie as a whole, so you cannot say if it's been hyped enough, or too much.

Hypothetically, a movie that's infinitely better than any other movie would deserve infinitely more hype, yes?

So, the only correct thing to say could be, "I don't expect this movie to live up to the hype." or "It's not likely that this movie will be sooo good that it deserves so much promotion"

Nobody can state it as a fact that the movie is overhyped. imo

I don't really have any expectations that this movie is going to revolutionize the industry, or make me piss my pants in awe or something. However, I believe that this is going to be a good movie, and that I will enjoy it.

That's enough for me.

well the movie has already in some way revolutionized the industry even before the movie has come out. Star Trek 2 is going be in 3D. Peter Jackson is going to make movies in 3D. TinTin wasn't going to be made but Speilberg changed his mind after Avatar. And even Lucas is thinking of doing a new 3D Star Wars Trilogy (keyword: NEW trilogy.. 3 new movies) if Avatar turns out to be successful.

The new trailer is good, even if it gives away much of the story (not that we wouldn't see it coming). I'm looking forward to seeing it, although I don't expect it to blow me away. I think it'll be fun.

Seriously who cares about hype? If this movie is above average and not brilliant, then it is above average, and it is NOT BAD.

It's like trying to add 3+2 and the answer your getting is 4 instead of 5.

godfather part 3 was an above average movie. It was not terrible, or bad, it was above average.

ok before that trailer I thought the hype was annoying but now I'm honestly hyped and will see this in cinema for sure.

though the plot seems pretty straightforward and nothing new, the effects and actors are good enough to warrant a cinema visit.
hopefully the plot has a good twist that will make it go from good to great.

Anyone here seen the 25 minute preview in IMAX? I'm wondering if it's worth seeing it in IMAX rather than at a regular theater (it seems that the IMAX version has some parts cut out due to length).

Definitely see it in IMAX if you can.
It was a 16 minutes preview and its pretty worth it.
And I don`t think any parts are/will be cut out; at worse, there's an intermission.
